The group took Noelle back to their dorms after Dumbledore spent a hours questioning them without Noelle in the room. Other then a splitting headache and forgetting Josh, of course, she didn't have any serious injuries.
Fred had made Noelle start staying in his dorm, scared of what might happen if he left her go back to hers alone. Emily had also started staying with George in his bed. Noelle had been having nightmares every night, waking up screaming and sweating. Unable to remember who the person she saw was.
"Fred I don't know who he was! He had black hair and he was tall, i don't know!" She cried into his chest as their friends gathered close by.
"Do you think it's josh?" Emily asked in a whisper towards her boy friend as she watched her best friend cry, not being able to do anything about it.
"Probably." He sighed, wrapping his arm around her and pulling her close. She burried her head in his chest and watched her best friend closely.
"Go take a shower love I'll be right here." Fred said as he pushed Noelle out of the bed and towards the bathroom. They heard the water start from the other side of the door as they talked quietly between themselves.
"The first task is tomorrow Harry how are you feeling?" Hermione asked, Sat beside Ron on George's bed.
"As well as I can. Dragons though? Their trying to bloody murder me. We have to be worried about Noelle right now though."
"Yeah your right..she isn't doing well. We have to figure out what happened with the spell..." hermione coninued.
"It back fired. Clearly." Emily scoffed, throwing shade Hermiones way.
"She forgave me so why can't you? You don't have a real issue with me." Hermione sneered as she turned to face Emily who's hair was a bright red at the end of her statement.
"She shouldn't have." She whispered to herself, crossing her arms and turning to face her boyfriend.
After that they ended up sitting in an awkward silence for about an hour before Fred stood up and started walking towards the bathroom.
"What're you doing?" Harry asked as Fred's hand reached the doorknob.
"She's been in there far to long, just gonna check on her." He opened the door and stepped into the bathroom, closing it behind him.
"Love..? Are you alright?" He asked, pulling open the curtain a tiny bit to see her in the tub her knees to her chest and sobbing into her arms. The freezing water pouring on her from the shower head. He quickly shut it off and grabbed a towel from the rack, getting in behind her and wrapping her in the soft fabric. His legs were on either side of her and his arms were wrapped tightly around her as he rocked her back and forth.
He hummed to her as he brushed his fingers through her hair as she cried, not saying a word. Just there for comfort.
"What's wrong with me?" She cried as she turned around and hugged him, soaking his clothes more then they already were.
"Shh, nothings wrong with you love." He assured her as she cried now into his soaked shirt.
They sat in the bath for a while until he could feel her shivering, looking down and realizes she was still in nothing but a towel he lifted her up by her hand and wrapped her firmly around her before helping her dress. Handing her her clothes and one of his t-shirts. He grabbed her hand and lead her from the bathroom back to his bed.
"Noelle, you alright?" Emily asked, standing up as the bathroom door opened.
"Yeah.." she replied, slipping under Fred's blanket and cuddling next to him, laying her head in his lap as he sat up.
"She's okay." He nodded towards Emily who had an unsure look on her face before George brought her in for another hug.
Later that night they had all fallen asleep in Fred and George's dorm. Emily and George in one bed, Fred and Noelle in the other, the other 4 made beds in the flood, all finding it better and smarter to keep each other company and so no one was alone.
"Wake up...Noelle wake up!" She was suddenly jolted awake by a presence shaking her roughly and while she looked around she found herself in an empty dorm.
"Hello? Fred?" She asked as she stood up, straightening out her long shirt before opening the door and quietly walking out.
"Fred?" She whispered as she looked around the common room, seeing it empty gave her chills. The emptiness and silence combined scaring her as she had never seen it that way.
She walked down the empty corridors, no more lit by the lanterns on the walls.
Her feet slapped against the cold floor as she looked around for her boyfriend or the person that had awoken her but the entire castle was empty. Quiet.
"Fred?" She asked again into the darkness that seemed to follow her, only this time she heard a response but not one coming from her boyfriend.
"Hello Ellie." The voice said, ascending from the darkness.
"Who are you?" She shouted, seeing the same person in her dreams the last few nights.
"Wake up Noelle."
"Huh?"
"Wake up!"
Her eyes shot open, she was surrounded by her friends only this time she hadn't woken up in a dorm but instead awoken in a random corridor. One she didn't even recognize.
"Guys I found her!" Lee shouted as his head faced left, then right, shouting towards the empty place.
People started running from each direction towards them, she instantly recognized most of them, some not from her group though.
"Fred?" She asked, looking around not seeing him.
"He's on the other side of the castle likely. We've been searching everywhe-"
"Noelle?!" A voice shouted, running towards the group of people surrounding her.
"Fred." She sighed happily as he came and brought her into his arms.
"How did you get down here? Are you okay?" He asked, backing up and examining her thoroughly.
"I..um...I'm not really sure."she replied, looking around at the new people.
"Oh..sorry, I'm Astoria." The girl put her hand out for Noelle to shake witch she took hesitantly.
"I'm a Slytherin but I offered to help look for you, I heard what happened with j-"
"And this is Alanis!" Fred cut her off, giving her a look before looking back to the tall boy in front of them. "He also helped." He continued.
"Oh.. hello." Noelle said as she stood against the wall.
"We better get going then.." Astoria said as she took alanis's hand and led him away from the group.
"So...where am I?" Noelle asked, a small, fake, laugh escaping her mouth.
"A corridor none of us even knew existed." Fred responded, throwing his arm over the girl and escorting her to breakfast, the group following closely behind.
