The Unwanted Encounter (Ash Lynx x Reader)

14) Jim and Jennifer

You were sitting in the middle of Ash and Max, biggest mistake of your life. As you were trying to shift your position so you could sit more comfortably, Max kept singing the same 2 sentences, and Ash was moody.

"On my life would you please stop singing Max" You pleaded holding your head in your hands.

"Tsk, shut up. Why do you keep singing the same phrases?" Said the blonde clearly annoyed.

"Sorry kids, i don't know the rest of the song. A bit cranky eh, When was the last time you came home Ash? Seeing you both pout like that reminds me you both are just kids"

"What did you just say?" You and the blonde said in sync.

"Which way next?" Max asked while you shot daggers trough your eyes looking at him.

"Right" Said the blonde leaning against the window annoyed while you akwardly sat in the middle. You tried shifting slightly but you were still uncomfortable by the lack of space. You sighed and took your iPod out plugging one side in your ear and the other one in Ash's. He looked at you to see what you were doing and you showed him your iPod. In silence, except of Max's terrible singing ofcourse, you both listened to your playlist. Ash actually ended up liking your music taste and the roadtrip went by a little smoother. After a few minutes you ended up falling asleep on Ash's shoulder but he didn't shoo you away, instead he just let you be. Max looked at you both slightly smirking but quickly turned his eyes on the road when the blonde gave him a 'shut the fuck up and don't say a thing' look.

After a few hours you woke up by someone tapping your shoulders. Annoyed by getting woken up, you looked at the person who woke you up and you saw Eiji smiling at you. You internally hated when people like Eiji were way too nice to you even though you were a rude, cold bitch but a part of you was also really glad. You gave him a weak smile and jumped out of the truck.

"Is this Cape Cod?" You said cracking your legs, fingers, knuckles and everything you could possibly crack.

Shorter looked at you frightened by you constantly cracking your fingers. "Yeah we just arrived"

You nodded towards him and went to stand closer to him. You brought your fingers close to Shorter's ear and cracked your finger in 'Kaneki style'. He looked at you scared and ran away from you while you chased Shorter calling him a scared cat. Ibe and Max stared at the two of you smiling and Eiji clutched his stomach laughing while watching you chase Shorter. Ash leant against the truck looking at the ground. It was clear he hated being there and you noticed it.

"What a nice place" You heard Eiji say as you and Shorter walked towards him

"Yeah, it's hard to believe it's just 500 km away from New York" Said Ibe while taking pictures of the beautiful scenery. You stared at the nature in awe drifting off into your own world. Shorter tapped you bringing you back in the present and told you to not zone out while smacking your head.

You guys walked to a place called Green Hill Diner where you saw a middle aged woman with brown hair and blue eyes doing the dishes. She stared at Ash for a few seconds then recognised him. "You.."

"How have you been Jennifer?" Said the blonde.

"Aslan.. You're Ash. Jimn hurry, come over here!" Said the woman.

"What are you guys screaming about?" Said a middle aged grumpy man as he came in from the backdoor. He then saw Ash and he didn't exactly like him being there. "What makes you think that you can come back here, you whore." You heard the man say. You stared at him shooting daggers trough your eyes in disgust as he noticed you standing at the doorway.
