The darkness was consuming everything within the big bedroom, the rain outside hitting the window creating a peaceful atmosphere. Ella sat by her window watching two droplets as they raced down her window. She found comfort within the pitter-patter of the rain as it hit everything it touched. She always found herself here, sitting, staring, and thinking. Tomorrow she will be going to Hogwarts and her parents are thrilled. Ella on the other hand was not, she was just going to be the new girl, the only good thing about her situation was that she wasn't anything special. She looked like every other girl, with long dark brown wavy hair, plain blue eyes, pale skin, and freckles on her cheeks. She found it odd that she had dark hair and blue eyes because her mother had blonde hair and green eyes, while her dad had dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes. Her father always said that she was the spitting image of his grandmother, but Hannah never saw pictures so she just shrugged it off.She was pulled out of her thoughts while she heard a knock and the door. "Ella sweetie, are you all packed are and ready for tomorrow?" Ella nodded and turned her head to the woman. "Yes, the only thing I still need to pack is noel but I thought I would let him roam until we leave, I don't like the idea of him being trapped when he can still have freedom." She replied. The woman walked over to Ella and placed her hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry sweetheart, you will have a great time at Hogwarts, just like me and your father." Ella turned to her mom and put of a half-hearted smile. "Yeah mum, it will be an interesting time." Her mom pushed the piece of hair that was covering Ella's face and cupped her cheek and smiled in return. " I'll see you in the morning, try to get some sleep." Her mom said then kissed her forehead and with that walked out of the room. Hannah turned back and continued watching the rain. Will it be a good year? she thought.
The rain had stopped in the middle of the night, the sun was rising to give the effect that everything was sparkling. Ella still in the same spot from the night prior got up and put her trunk by the door. She sat down in front of her mirror and brushed her hair, once she was down she looked at herself and took a deep breath, and smiled. Even though she didn't like the idea of leaving her comfort behind, she knew it would make her parents happy. She walked to the door of her bedroom, gave it one last look, and then closed her door. She walked down the stairs and she was engulfed into a huge. " Ready sweetheart ?" her mother asked, Ella, nodded and smiled, " Ready as I'll ever be."
