The Holiday

Everyone sat on the floor of the Karasuno gym, an air of sadness surrounded the group of friends. They all should have been jumping for joy after winning the nationals. The realization hit them when they returned that that was the last time they would all be on the same team, heck in a few weeks 4 of them would no longer attend Karasuno High. They were off to college. And this blew the wind right out of their sails.

(Daichi's POV)

"Right, that's it. There's nothing more to it, we can't just sit here all sad. Were not gone yet." I say trying to get my team's spirits up, I jump to my feet. No one moved. As my heart began to get heavy. "It's useless," I thought as my stomach plunged. Suga looked up at me smiling. I put a hand out to help him up, I could feel my cheeks flush. I love that smile, Suga has a plan.

"Ok, I have an idea," Suga says enthusiastically. I watch my sullen friend's faces tilt towards Suga. "he really is the mum of the group." Suga took his mobile out and started searching for something. I watched as everyone instinctively moved forward circling him. "Way to go Suga," I think scooting closer too.

"What we need is to go on a group holiday before we set off, who's in?" Suga asked with a huge grin on his face.

"Heck yeah," Tanaka and Noya shouted in unison high fiving. There was a bit of a buzz again and there was a lot of "oohs" and "ahhs" at the idea. "I'm definitely up for that, somewhere near the sea. Maybe I could have a moonlit walk with Suga ohhhhh."

"Everything's pretty pricey though, do you think it's because it's summer and all the schools will be off?" I let out a loud sigh, the sinking feeling building in my stomach again.

Someone tapped my shoulder.

"Whats up Kageyama?"

"He looks a little embarrassed, he's turning red." Kageyama stared at his shoes.

"W.. We could use my summer house," he whispered shyly.

It took a second to register what the suddenly shy setter said. Slapping Kageyama playfully on the back. "Tell them," I said with a large toothy grin pushing Kageyama forward.

(Kageyama's POV)

"What! No, it took all I had to tell you. The last time I invited people they all called me a pompous git for rubbing it in their faces, even though that wasn't what I was trying to do." Suddenly I became hyper-aware that everyone was staring at me. "They're going to bore a hole in my forehead at this rate, shit just say it damit!." Starting to sweat a little, my eyes darted over everyone. "Where is he, where... oh there" I sighed in relief as Hinata stared into my eyes, "shit, it's like he can see right into my soul." blushing again I used all the willpower I had left and spat out as loud as I could. "We can use my summer house if you like?" Heart hammering I quickly added "t..that way you don't have to worry about paying for accommodation" everyone was silent for about a millisecond, then in a blink of an eye everyone threw themselves at me. Hinata was the first to reach me even though he was at the back of the group. He slung his arms tightly around my neck and with the force of the tiny wrecking ball we toppled over. "Oh, crap" I put my arms around Hinata to stop him from getting hurt. All I heard as we slammed into the floor was "PILE UP!"

My eyes widened in horror as a tremendous weight piled on top of me, blocking out all the light. Just as I was about to panic I heard something in my ear. A soft giggle, it sent shivers down my spine and my eyes slowly began to adjust to the sudden darkness. "He's laughing, Hinatas laughing. When did that sound become so damn comforting?" I thought, suddenly feeling calm. I began laughing with him, Hinata's face came into focus about an inch off of my nose. "Oh crap! He's close, too close'' I gasped suddenly becoming aware the Hinata was laying on top of me. My heart started to thump harder and faster and my face began to flush. "Holy crap! holy crap!" I was sure Hinata would be able to feel it.
