Sitting in the lobby on my phone, getting the jist of what's going on at home. (Let me just take the time to acknowledge that sweet rhyme.) I heard yelling outside. I know Mari told me to stay in here, but I had to make sure she was okay. I got up quickly and briskly, walking out the front double doors. Mari was nowhere in sight. I heard some commotion farther away in the parking lot, and immediately found the car of the guy that offered me a ride. More importantly, Mari was being shoved into it. Her eyes met mine and they were full of fear. They drove away before I was even close.
