It’s been a week since the four undercover penetrates the four schools. Every day they managed to report to Cpt. Fuller’s office and execute their mission with secrecy. None of my team have sensed with what is going on with the case.

HANK BUCKNER:”This is a funny stupid case, it’s been a week and we don’t have any lead.”

PETE GARRISON:”Should we wait for another victim for us to have a lead? You know what Cpt. Fuller should give us another assignment while we are waiting.”

MARTY TALONS:”I don’t think it’s a good idea to handle another case.”

ME:”Marty is right, let’s concentrate on this one…”

HANK BUCKNER:”What’s to concentrate? That is a dead end.”

Hank motions his hand at the board.

HANK BUCKNER:”We did everything we need to do, and what do we have? nothing, NOTHING!”

ME:”We will find this guy.”

HANK BUCKNER:”Are you that confident?” Hank scoffs.

ME:”Yeah, I am. Excuse me I need to talk to the Captain.”

I went to our chief office. I found him reading on some papers. I knock at his door three times.

CPT. FULLER:”It’s good you are here Prescott, your people send this report a moment ago.”

There were envelopes containing profiles and pictures of possible suspect at their respective schools. Some of them were teachers; others were guards or someone who works at the school. There were some suspects who constantly roam around the premises. Every one is a suspect.

ME:”This is a job well done. We can follow these suspects and make some inquiries about them. If they fits the profile we can tell our under covers agents to focus on that particular person.”

CPT. FULLER:”That would be a perfect idea Prescott, but you can’t lead your team to this investigation. They would wonder where did you get these leads and our covert operation will be compromised.

ME:”So what do you think is the best way to handle this?”

CPT. FULLER:”Let our operatives do their job. They know their mission; find someone that fits the pop candy profile.”

ME:”So we should wait.”

CPT. FULLER:”Let me remind you that this is your idea Det. Prescott.”

ME:”Yeah, I know, but the thing is, my team began to get bored. It’s been a week and we can’t just wait.”

CPT. FULLER:”Why don’t you checked everything with the past victims and searched all the possibilities…”

ME:”We already did that Chief.”

I motion my right hand at the papers in his table and said. “These are the possibilities, we have to move or else pop candy will strike again and the real possibility would be another pretty girl dead.”

CPT. FULLER:”Tell me something Prescott, how would you tell your team about these possibilities?” Captain motions both of his hands at the papers on his table.

ME:”I’ve got it covered Sir.”

CPT. FULLER:”I don’t have to remind you that you might blow this operation…”

ME:”I heard you the first time Captain Fuller.”

My captain drew a deep breath and gazed his eyes to my face firmly.
