The three girls were exhausted, so they didn't say anything to each other when they arrived. They just kept panting, and Queen Angelica raised her eyebrows once she spotted them in the doorway.
"Oh, you three have arrived," She said, without any expression in her voice.
"Yes, we've got the crown," Enna replied quietly.
Queen Angelica stood up. Her gown was different from the gown she was wearing yesterday. This time, it was gold, and it was shining in the chandelier light. Alyssa thought she looked better this way - it suited her more, considering the fact that she was the queen of gold.
It was silent for a while. Queen Angelica, and the girls didn't say anything to each other. Then, Alyssa noticed Queen Angelica raising her eyebrows at her, then turning to the golden crown in Alyssa's hand.
Enna and Zalina noticed it too, so they turned to Alyssa. Alyssa stood there awkwardly, she forgot what to do next.
"O- oh, my apologies, Queen Angelica," Alyssa stuttered, as she walked towards the Queen. She bowed and handed her the crown. Queen Angelica smiled. "Thank you, Alyssa."
Alyssa eyed the crown carefully. She was expecting Queen Angelica to put it right on her head once she got it, but instead, Queen Angelica had put the crown beside her.
Enna looked confused, too. "You're... not wearing the crown, Your Majesty?" she asked.
"No, not yet," Queen Angelica replied calmly.
"I'm confused!" Zalina cried, shaking her head. "You wanted it back so desperately - so now that you've got it back, why aren't you wearing it immediately?"
"Well..." Queen Angelica put her index finger on her crown carefully. "There's something I must do first, before wearing it." she turned to Alyssa. "Alyssa, please come here."
Alyssa hesitated, but still came closer. She walked up the steps leading to Queen Angelica's throne, and bowed, although she didn't know what would happen next.
Queen Angelica smiled at her, as if reading her thoughts. "This isn't about the crown, dear."
Before Alyssa could reply, Queen Angelica pulled out a metallic purple stick just like Enna's.
"Queen Angelica?" Alyssa said. "Is that-?"
"Yes, yes. It is a wand." Queen Angelica replied. "Because of your bravery, intelligence, and discipline. This wand is now yours." Queen Angelica slowly gave her the wand.
"Cool!" Alyssa exclaimed. "Uh, and what should I do with it?"
"Your wand is used to protect yourself," Queen Angelica explained. "The wand is like the mini staff. You see?" Queen Angelica brought out her staff.
The bottom part and the upper part of the staff were both purple. Except for the middle part, and that part was golden. It resembled the color Queen Angelica rules over.
"Oh," Alyssa nodded. "But Enna's wand has power. Does mine have one too?"
Queen Angelica nodded. "Yes, but we'll find out about your power some other time. Every lost princess has a wand like yours."
Alyssa looked up. "Zalina has one?" She glanced back at Zalina.
"Oh, uh," Zalina said, getting the purple headband from her mint-colored hair. "Hm, let me say, I broke it and turned it into my headband."
"Wait," Alyssa glanced at Queen Angelica. "You can do that?"
"No, we cannot do that," Queen Angelica frowned at Zalina.
Enna rolled her eyes. "Yeah, don't mind Zalina. She just loves turning her stuff into her headwear."
"Hey!" Zalina protested.
"Anyway," Queen Angelica ignored them as is nothing happened at all. "You'll find out what the power of your wand is soon. It might take a while, or maybe even longer. But I'm pretty sure you'll find it out soon."
