With the first challenge wrapped up in a brawl, many of the contestants had retired their new dorms in the floors below, but a handful of stragglers stayed on the rooftop in leisure. Book looked around nervously, watching as her teammates split off amongst themselves without a clue as to where she herself would go. Naily and Price Tag were already up to mischief with Bomby watching on their sidelines. Would Cake mind her hanging around? Looking over, she could see him already in good company, chirping happily to unfamiliar objects.

Sighing, Book decided to be aimless elsewhere. Going down six flight of stairs isn't the most appealing choice, but the elevator wasn't reassuring after it's sudden drop from a few hours prior. Never going down that thing again.  Passing through the halls, one could hear the muffled chattering through the walls with the occasional contestant lounging outside like Snowball. Maybe she should just go to her dorm, but she didn't what to bother Two to ask where her room would be since they'd be busy bandaging themselves up.

Down another set and the wallpaper turned into a bright marigold hue. Slightly winded, she stopped to gaze out the windowsill to the fields of fresh pasture. Evergreen bushes shook lightly while the tiniest of wildflower patches brought small touches of color, and-Oh it's Pillow! She waved from the window and the other looked up with her usual smirk. The familiar beckoned 'come' before strolling to the shadiness of a nearby shrub. Not sparing a second breath, Book obliged the request and was exiting the front door in matter of minutes. A shadow cast over Pillow, fidgeting hands unsure of what to do now. She wouldn't mind, right?

"Mind if I sit here?"

A pat on the ground signaled 'yes', so she sat cross-legged next to the other who completely sprawled herself against the flora. Lavender eyes looked over and huffed, patting the earth again with impatience. Did I do something wrong? For a moment, the was a confused silence until Pillow reached up to grab the edge of Book's sweater vest, tugging downwards until both were laid against the foliage.

"Don't let the ants bite you."

"Oh, um, thanks. Wait, wha-"

While Book remained alert for the mentioned ants, the other stayed entertained by tangling her hands in turquoise and chartreuse locks. Huh?

"Pillow? What are you doing?"

"Oh nothing much."

Why was it so hard to read the other girl. She's being friendly, right?

"So that last challenge was something, huh? Especially that elevator free falling or..."

Pillow listened to the other girl's ramblings with half-lidded eyes and lazy interest, a looming fog of drowsiness clouding any critical thought. A nap sounded pretty good. Evening came fresh as a breeze danced through the golden grass. Her hand caressed Book's cheek and held itself there with a few strokes, earning a moment of silence. Heart beat rising and a flustered blush grew across her glasses, her words caught on the tip of her lips. Sure, a question could be brought up again but closed eyes and light snoring were enough of a clue.

"Oh.."

Book let out a deep sigh before following suit, shutting her eyes until sleep ebbed in.

This is nice...
