"Come on... Chief Toph will understand if you let me go. She will understand..." Kya said, trying to convince the Officer who was putting handcuffs on her.

"Yeah, you all said the same thing." The tall woman said to the Water bender, guiding her to the police car.

"I don't know you." Kya said to the Officer, who only glanced at her. "and I know a lot of officers, normally, they let me go... cause that's what Toph is going to do."  Kya was lying of course, normally Lin was the one to catch her and let her go.

"you are always caught by an officer?" The woman asked looking into Kya's eyes by the mirror.

"Yeah, kinda." Kya smiles and winked at the woman. "Your eyes are beautiful" The water bend said with a smirk and the officer blushed, ignoring Kya.

When they finally arrived to the police station, the officer guided Kya inside where Kya passed someone called her name and laughing.

"Again, Kya?" Shaikhan asked laughing.

"yeah..." Kya said smiling. " You are a such pretty woman" The water bender turn to meet the officer eyes. And the officer really was. She has long black hair, with the pale skin, and the caramel eyes. And Kya was pretty sure she knew those eyes from the gay club that she used to go.

Before the Officer could answer something, Kya heard her name.

"Kya, stop flirting with the new officer." The voice make Kya widen her eyes. Kya recognized this voice. She always would recognize it. The tone, the accent.

"Lin" The office turn to meet the chief daughter eyes.

"I take care of her, Sakura" The officer nod and walk away leaving the women alone. "Again?" The cheif's daughter turned to Kya.

"I told her to set me free" Kya smiled and said in defense. The earth bender sighed and grabbed Kya's arms, guiding her to office. "Did anyone ever tell you that you have amazing hands?" The oldest said when they entered Lin's office.

"You know that one day I will let you go to jail, right?" Lin crossed her arms looking at Kya. "How many times i need tell you that the officers and I already have a lot of work to do, we don't need you coming into the station almost every month, just for messing around."

"You always say the same thing." Kya chuckled, looking to the handcuffs around her wrist.

"Are you trying to make me punish you? make me throw you in jail?" The cheif's daughter frowned, her eyebrows looking into ocean eyes. "Why you keep doing the same thing? You do something wrong and then someone brings you to the station and I let you free. It's getting annoying." The earth bender said, metal bending the cuffs off of Kya wrists. "Im start to think that you like being arrested."

Are you that dumb?" Kya yelled at the Earth Bender. "Damn, Lin. Don't you get it? This is the only time that you see me. The only time that you look at me for real. Shit, thats the worst way to be closer to you but at the same time that is the only way that you will look at me." The tears start showing in those ocean eyes.

"What that flameo are you talking about? I go to the air temple almost every day... I talk to you almost everyday." The earth bender could feel Kya heartbeat getting faster. She feel Kya trying to not cry in front of her.

"But you never look at me, you only talk to me about my stupid airhead brother..." The water bender tried to hold back the tears but was too late, she was already crying. "and how much you like him, how you like those ridiculous tattoos..." The earth bender now had her mouth open and had wide eyes. How had she never realized that Kya liked her all this time... all the signs, all the times that Kya heart start beating faster, all the compliments.

"... and he doesn't even look at you in the same way, he never realizes how much your eyes shine when you are talking about being a chief in the future, how beautiful you look when you wear green and he doesn't even know how much you like the rain..." The water bender now hasn't even trying to hold her own tears, she just accepted the fact that she was falling apart in front of Lin. She was about to keep talking when Lin interrupted her.

"Kya... I never knew that you felt that way about me" The earth bender walk closer to Kya. "I-I never meant to hurt you..." The cheifs daughter said.

"Fuck Lin, I- I just want you to look at me... " The water bender now was almost whispering, her voice carrying only pain.

"I-Im so sorry. I don't..." Lin was trying to find words, but seems like she wasn't able to speak. "Why didnt you ever tell me?" Lin asked softly, cause she knew at this moment that if she made any wrong movement, she could lose Kya.

"Because I know that you don't feel the same... I know that it dosent matter how much I like you, you will never look at me the same way..." Kya voice was calm just like the sound of the ocean, was also a whisper. Her voice was so calm it scared Lin.

The silence that was created between those two was like torture, and the silence lasted for way to long. Kya wiped her tears away, and looked into Lin eyes, and for the first time she wished that Lin wouldn't look at her.

"Kya... I-im sorry, I never realized that you felt like that..." Lin voice was small, and her eyes were so soft that if it was another situation, Kya was pretty sure that she would smile. "I didn't notice that..." Kya interrupted her before she could finish.

"Its fine, Lin" Kya sighed and looked down, breaking the eye contact. "I should go home" Kya whispered softly and walked in Lin's direction, softly planting a kiss on Lin's cheek. "I wish he knew how lucky he is to have your eyes just for him." She whispered softly before going home.

Lin couldn't move, she wanted to tell Kya that she was dumb, and how Kya meant to her, but she wasn't brave enough.

For the rest of the week, Lin didn't go to the air temple island, she didn't call either. Two weeks after, she called to the air temple just to ask about Kya, but was too late. Kya was gone on a trip with no return date, no specific direction. Only then had Lin realized how much Kya meant to her, and how much she liked Kya and those ocean eyes. Lin realized too late, how much she wanted Kya to be hers, and hers only.

Now, Lin was the one who wanted Kya to look at her.
