"Alright, I'm not really sure how you girls usually do things around here. As I hear it, I'm the new Chloe!" The new teacher smiled as we all sat down. "I was lucky enough to have met Doe earlier. I'm already feeling very welcomed in this coven. I appreciate that."
She was pretty and she seemed very young.
"I guess you can think of my class, sort of like gym class for magic. With out the locker room madness and stinky socks." She smirked. "In this class you'll be expected to test your active powers to their limits. Do things you didn't know you were capable of in order to grow, to learn."
"Of course, not everything will be physical exertion, but we'll get to all that a little bit later." She shrugged. "For today, I'd just like to learn the rest of your names and everyones favorite power or powers to use. Mine is Atmokinesis! Can anyone tell me what that means?"
"Yes..?" Chloe asked the smallest witch.
"Kenzing Kenney. I don't mind nicknames." The young witch smiled, knowing she was the only one to raise her hand.
"Kenzi, can you tell me what Atmokinesis is?"
Of course she will. Kenzi knows a lot about everything. Ever since she lost her eye-sight she's been able to see far beyond what most of us are capable of.
"Atmokinesis is the power of manipulation over all five natural elements."
"Very good, Kenzi! So, what's your favorite power to use?"
"Divination.." Kenzing smirked. "Clairvoyancey.. Seeing the everything in the nothing? I take pride in it."
"That's wonderful!" Chloe assured her before moving on.
We went around the room saying our names and favorite powers, mine being Telepsionic, which are your basic Telekinesis, Telepathy, and Teleportation powers.
"Telepsionic, huh? So you're probably a big Kinetic, then?" Chloe smiled almost sadly. "One of my best friends was very Telecapable. She's no longer with us.."
"You were from the Denali Coven!" Kenzi gasped, tears forming in her steely eyes.
We all hung our heads as Chloe nodded her admission.
The Denali Coven was once a strong family of powerful ancient wiccan activists that decided to start a school for young witches called the Luxemburg Reformatory for Unique Young Ladies.
Within the past ten years all but one of the original seven Denali woman heading the school passed away, leaving only the youngest, Geneiva Denali to take care of the school.
Geneiva went a little mad last year and killed eleven of the school's thirty-four students.. Some older, some younger.
Amongst the deceased was Geneiva Denali, who was overthrown by her students and killed in self-defense.
The counsel then apointed a man who calls himself the Voodoo King to watch over the girls. From what I've heard they're safe, although certain surviving students from the Denali attack chose to leave.
"I was. It was a disaster.." She frowned lightly. "That disaster did bring certain new light, new beauty to our craft. A budding friendship between darker forces and Denali's incredible ancestral magics.. That coven is now definitely changing Wiccan practice as we know it. From some where deep within its magical essences.."
"Some of us aren't as ready for more change. They moved on." She sighed, brushing her fingers over some of the knick knacks she's placed around her classroom.
"The waves of change are ever flowing.. I like many others now wade in different tides." She smiled solomnly.
"The Voodoo King. He's a good man?" I asked. "We know he has a queen."
