Three Unchanged Fates

Prologue

"I love you my child" I heard from Katherine King with a bright smile as if she had won the lottery.
I was really baby when this occurred so I didn't really understand, I just saw her smile. That made me happy.
"Don't worry, I'll love you enough and protect so you will never be alone" she said with a heartbroken face

*** flashback of 11 years later***
"Mama" I had said
"Si hija" my mother had said.
If you looked at my mother you would think she was my sister and not my mother. She was medium height with medium size brown hair. Her eyes were chocolate brown and her scent was like cherry blossoms but even though she was welcoming to me, doesn't mean she was to others. Her eyes held more than anyone could see, but I saw, because mine looked the same.
"I found this under the door" I explained
"Let me read it mija" she said.
I gave her the letter and it seemed like time had stopped. She lost the smile she wore on her face and it looked like she has just open the gates of hell. Well more or less.
"Momma" I said , "what's wrong"
"Mija .. Es de tu padre, quiere saber de ti" she said with a small amount of venom.
"No, mom, don't . You know what I think of that man. Please don't make me talk to him" I begged
"Are you sure" she said
"Yes, he hasn't bother before why should I?" I said "Anyways, I have to go to school. I love you mommy never forget that " I walked over to her and kissed her cheek.
"Yo también mi Jamari" she said hugging me tight ...

That was almost four years ago I'm almost 16. Today is the first week of summer and I'm glad to say that Sophomore year is over. I know my mom has a boyfriend and I'm happy for her. She deserves to be happy after all the work she went through. He seems like a nice man, and funny too many people think that my mom wants him for his money because he is very "loaded" but that's not true. I've never seen her so in love, like a teenager and trust me it's gross. I heard he has a son about the same age as me.
"Jamari come down sweetie " she said
I stopped doing my homework and walked out of the room. I see Javier Anderson, my mom's boyfriend, and her smiling at each other.
"Si mama" I say.
"I wanted you to find out first...but tonight Javier asked me to become his wife" she said with a smile.
I looked at him then at her. "Omg, I'm going to have a dad" I spilled while dancing. I stopped and looked at them, "I mean can I call you that, Javier" I said a little shyly.
"Oh of course, we are practically family" he smiled hugging me.

I never been happier than today. "Now we have to start the wedding plans. The cake, the wardrobe , the flowers, the date reservation and... Omg we get to go dress shopping" I stated without stopping.
"Jamari calm down. We can all do that later but not the whole family is going to come" my mom said
"What do you mean" I said confused
"Well, sadly my son Nathan is out of the country and won't be here until a week before school starts and the wedding is in a month" Javier said.
"Oh well I'll take a bunch of picture for him and I can certainly wait to meet my new brother" I said
"Also we are moving into a different house" my mom said
"Wait, that means that I'm moving schools. But what about my friends Lily and Rose" I said with shocked.
"Sweetie, it's just a three hour drive, you will be able to visit whenever you want" my mom said.
"Well, I guess I have to go tell them" I sadly.
"I'm sorry sweetie" she said
"No mom don't be, I understand, okay. I'm very happy for you" I said "good night mom and dad " I hugged them and it just felt right.

I went into my room and texted Rose and Lily.
** Meet me in front of the library**
After sending the message I fell asleep with a huge smile.

Mama = mom
Si hija/mama = yes daughter/mother
Mija .. Es de tu padre, quiere saber de ti = daughter.. It's from your dad, he wants to know about you
