I want to be part of a pack,
And know that my brothers are guarding my back...
I want to hunt the fawn at night,
And reap with my howl but stay out of sight...
I want to know what else is out there,
Apart from humanity's endless despair...
I want to be part of something more,
Not just a home wrecker, not some dumb whore...
I don't want to be seen as innocent,
Nor do I want to be ignorant,
I know that I am intelligent,
I wonder where all my happiness went...
Maybe it died along with the pack,
When one of my brothers stabbed me in the back...
I'll keep on running till all the pain's gone,
I guess you're the wolf and I am the fawn...

THE PACK
PoetryThis is a poem I wrote on February 20th, 2012 while in Wilderness. It's without a doubt my favorite poem I've written so far in my life, and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do.
