Sometimes life give you two options. The first one is to follow your direction, follow your dreams, and not letting anyone get in the way of what you want. But then theres option number two which is to let everything and everyone get to you, their words, their actions, even their looks may stop you from achieving your dream.
And for me I know, and know well that im taking path number 2, and I am running.
School for some people may be there safe space, there happiness, a place where they get to see their friends, and make memories. But for me, it's the place where I get reminded every single day about the accident, and how it's my fault that she's gone.
As your walking to school I slowly drag my feet, my heart yearning for me to just turn around and run home.
But I know, that going to school and getting good grades is the only way I'm gonna get out of this shitty town.
Once I arrive to my very own high-school, Couter Central, I look around to see only a few people lingering outside the building. Usually I get to school early but today your alarm didn't go off so you were late.
I quickly walk into the school building and look up to see everyone looking at me.
You would think that maybe I was used to it, but in reality I'm not, I'm really not used to it.
I bow my head down and clutch onto my bag as I walk to my locker.
I hear the snickers, and I feel the glares as my classmates point and mock me.
Once I get to my locker I swiftly open it and grab my needed books as fast as I can.
As I'm about to close my locker, a hand roughly slams the locker centimeters away from my fingers.
I jump in surprise making me drop my books in the process.
I quickly bend down and start picking them up.
I slowly stand back up, and look up to see Amys face sneering down at me.
If you don't know who Amy is she is the schools personal bully. She's rich only because of her parents and she takes advantage of everyone. She the volleyball captain, and has the whole team bowing down to her like her own little minions.
She had on huge black heels that made her look down on me.
" Now if it isn't the bitch who killed her best friend." She smirks. She then turns to the people near us and speaks, " don't trust this bitch, she may act like your friend," she turns back to me, " but all she will do is stab you in the back." She then turns around and walks back to her little friends.
I stare at her in disbelief. I could feel my eyes slowly fill with tears and my throat getting dry.
I quickly turn around and run to the nearest restroom.
As I am about to turn the corner I run smack dab into someone, I fall to my knees dropping my book yet again. As I swiftly pick up my books I here a deep voice.
"Watch where your going!" Says the voice in a stern manner.
I slowly look up and widen my eyes as I see Damien glaring down at me. Damien was the "bad boy" of the school, which didn't ease me whatsoever.
I quickly apologize, my voice cracking in the process, and run to the bathroom slamming the door shut.
I slide down the wall and breakdown into tears. My breaths were rigged and my sobs were the only thing that could be heard.
I felt so alone.
