Both chapters kind of complete each other so this is the second part; can't wait for you to see the follow-up !
Yesterday's been a tough day, it was so boring I thought I would never get through it. I got those exercises to do, I did them so that one day maybe, he'll let me alone. Also, Meghan, Rachel and Taylor caught me staring. Whatever. I'm walking to school with James, he's been my neighbor since 6th grade and we've been quite good friends, I think. Today is Tuesday, the only interesting day as it's the day James and I have English classes, together. I truly love English lessons, if I could, that would be my only school subject. I could read and write all day long. We arrive and hurry up not to be late to our favorite class, three hours of English. Honestly, I couldn't wish for anything better. We study a classic, The Picture of Dorian Gray, I really love the way it's written. It's so clever the way the author implied forbidden ideas without giving anyone any way to prove it. After this fascinating class with my friend, the teacher calls me:
"Julie!"
"Yes ma'am."
"Ok, so I've noticed you read quite a lot and ... you like to write, right?" she asks
"Of course,"
"You have some really great skills in writing and I'd like you to see if you'd be interested in a writing contest to be due in March." The woman tells me,
"Yes, I guess... What should we do exactly?" I answer,
"You'll be given a precise theme about which you'll have to write a short story." She explains,
"Okay, yeah, I think that'd be good."
I'm very happy Mrs. Laure asked me that because I've bene dying to do a writing contest. I write everyday but I cannot know what it's worth so that'll be a good chance. However, it's been a good day plus because, of all things, I only had another class than English.
It's 5 p.m., I'm walking back home when I hear a yelling. I stop for a moment, but as I want to go on, another sound comes to my ears. A gun shot. I freeze for a moment, and then run right to where I heard the shot. I find myself in a tricky street, a corpse laying on the floor. Two men are standing out over the dead body – each one has a gun in his hands. I don't know. What should I do? Should I run away? Holy shit: They've seen me! Definitely, I'm going to run. I pass a few streets, but still, they're getting much closer to me. I've never run half that fast in my life, and still, that's not enough.
Okay, I see a squeezy road on my left, get to it and run always faster but oh my God! It's an impasse. I look back at them. They're running towards me, only some feet from me. It's almost night and the sky is getting darker. I look for an exit, a door, a hole, anything. They've never let their gun down so, actually, I have Mr. Muscle pointing two guns at me in a street where there isn't any exit. A man walks to me and tells me with a grave voice:
"You! Don't make a move. Don't make a sound. Don't say a word."
"I won't. I swear. I won't say anything." I answer with the weakest voice of my life.
*sound of a gunshot*
