For a few wonderful weeks of autumn, when the orange leaves fluttered in the humid air, Amelia met his dear Spe the foot of the great elm. Little by little, the words floated outside their minds and formed beautiful conversations. On the other hand, never did they question their personal life , because both escaped it during their time together. Very quickly they learned that the subtle beauty linked them so strongly, that one would have thought that their minds were made to meet.
However, one day, while going to the foot of the tree, Amélia realized that this day was going to be different. The man was not in their usual Eden. Time seemed to pass like golden resin, and Spe had never shown up. During the next few days, grief filled the fragile heart of the young woman. Could she ever talk to him again? It was the sad question she kept asking herself, and deep inside her, a smoky ball told her it was over. All things had an end, and for the good and the bad that came with it , it was the truth.
Spe, lying on a poor bed, was thoughtful. His mind was racing, trying to remember how he had come to this result. The truth seemed too appalling, too shameful to be real. Redundant mechanical noises haunted the room he was in. A familiar, all-too-familiar voice approached him. Please, tell me I'm not dreaming, tell me I'm not to that point. Alas, the clock of time which runs relentlessly is not talkative. Confusion quickly joined his feeling of helplessness. And then, a gigantic void joined him. He knew that moment was imminent, but the hope he felt after meeting Amelia had propelled him further. And that's what mattered most. Hope is the only thing stronger than sadness and anger.
