Prompt: I could probably write a thousand poems, a million songs, but you still wouldn't have a single idea, that in those pieces i have written, that I was talking about you- excerpt from a book i will never write #602- Via Excerptofstories
A beautiful melody filled the stadium, a single, lone, voice, singing words, that meant so much to her. Haunting lyrics seemed to hang in the air, the audience waving their light sticks.
Far away, he heard her, somehow, through his heart. He hummed along, thinking about her, wondering why she would write such a sad song. She was all he could think about.
Clicking onto the live-stream of her concert, he stared at her beautiful features. " That song is dedicated to my favourite person in the world. I could probably write a thousand poems, a million songs, but he still wouldn't have a single idea, that in all of the pieces I have written, that I was talking about him. Kei Akira, You don't have to give me your heart, but please, remember me, it's okay to not like me, but never forget me" A shining tear slid down her cheek, glistening gently.
His eyes widened, his body moving before he could think. He was racing outside towards the stadium, his chest racing, struggling for air as his head pumped. Stopping to catch his breath, he stared at the familiar surroundings, the park where they had always met up.
Tears slid down his face, as memories made their way in to his brain. He stood there for 30 minutes, remembering, garnering odd stares from passer-Byers. "Kei?" He turned around, staring at the ethereal girl, her features glowing in the moonlight. " Mina.." Both of them stood their for a moment, eyes glistening. When it had settled in, they grasped each other in tight hugs, never wanting to let go.
Cool air brushed their hair, staying in each others warm embrace for a good 10 minutes, before finally letting go. Sitting down on their favourite bench beneath the cherry blossoms, She lay on his lap, staring up at the tree covered stars. Smiling he stroked her hair.
"I love you"
