The Unwanted Encounter (Ash Lynx x Reader)

15) My stupid son

You woke up the next day hearing gunshots from somewhere. Shit did they already find us? You asked yourself, mentally preparing yourself to fight people. You took your gun and slightly pushed the curtain aside to see what is happening outside, but to your surprise you just saw Ash and Eiji shooting at some empty beer bottles. Relief washed over you as you let a shaky breath out. You made your way to the bathroom as you saw Shorter, Max and Ibe sleeping in the other room and washed your face as you went trough your hair with your fingers to look ok-enough. You grabbed an apple you found in the basket that Jennifer gave to Ash and made your way to Ash and Eiji. As you walked towards them Eiji lost his concentration and looked at you as he aimed terribly at the beer bottle standing in the middle of the big field.

"Nice aim" You jokingly said as you took a big bite from the apple. Eiji pouted and Ash snickered looking towards you.

"Did we wake you up?" The blonde asked fixing Eiji's terrible posture while aiming his gun towards the empty beer bottle.

"Nah i woke up myself" You said enjoying the juicy apple. Eiji pouted as he failed to shoot the empty bottle down and you just chuckled at the way he looked like a little boy.

"Here give me the gun" You said as you put your right hand out while the apple stayed in your left hand. "This has magnum cartridge so you can hurt your wrists if you don't hold it properly. Hold the grip tighter, put your back in to it and lightly pull the trigger" You said as you effortlessly aimed at the empty bottle and successfully shot the bottle down without any complications.

You earned a proud glare from Ash and a shocked one from Eiji. You handed Ash's gun back to him and flicked Eiji's head saying Bakaa. You made your way to the house as Ibe passed you, you greeted him and skipped your way to the house to wake Shorter up. You were in a pretty good mood since you slept 10 hours, yes 10 hours for the first time in months.

"Shorterr wake up man" Said Eiji trying to wake the sleeping beauty up.

"10 minutes" Said Shorter as he turned away from both of you.

"You tugged on Eiji's arm and whispered something in his ear." Eiji looked at you shaking his head and you got up as you made your way to the bathroom. You grabbed a jug of water and filled it with freezing cold water. You carefully went back to Shorter and Eiji making sure not to spill the water out of the jug and looked deviously at Eiji.

"Y/n don't he-"

*splash*

Shorter woke up gasping from the impact the cold water made on his skin while you clutched your stomach laughing at his reaction. Eiji and Ash stood there trying to hold their laughter back as Eiji gave Shorter an apologetic look.

"Oh you didn't you devils" Shorter said throwing the blanket of him.

"It wasn't my idea" Said Eiji throwing his hand up in defence. Tears welled up in your eyes as you clutched your stomach harder from laughing so much. Ash looked at you in awe as you kept laughing. You caught him staring and gave him a wide smile which made him melt at that spot.

"Let's get back to the diner" Said Ash looking at you as you both decided to take a walk around Cape Cod.

"Hmm, sure let's go" You said. You both walked towards the diner but stopped in your track. You looked at Ash with fear in your eyes grabbing your gun from your waistband, so did he. You raised your gun up to go inside but Ash grabbed your wrist and gestured you to stay quiet for a while before going in.
