As the first-hour bell rang, Mika and Hiro walked to the same classroom Hiro went into first and went to their assigned seats. Sadly, Hiro realized she's in the upper right, at least two seats away from each other, because he sat in the upper middle seats. They looked at each other, and Hiro just shrugged with an awkward smile, which Mika quietly giggled at. He turned to the front again and saw another girl wearing lots of (fake) jewelries and was wearing red hot Prada high heels, which actually fit her. She then plopped her Furla hand bag on the seat next to Hiro. After that she turned to Hiro and brought out a Mac lipgloss and applied nearly 15 layers of the thing. Hiro scrutinized her and shuddered. *At least Aunt Cass isn't THIS girly...* Hiro said in his mind. The girl stopped applying her lipgloss then said to Hiro, "Well! That was fun. I'm glad I'm sitting beside a handsome hunk like you. Compared to all the guys I've met, you are the best." Hiro blushed really hard and bit his lower lip until it bled. He glanced at her handbag's tag and saw her name. *Huh, her name's Elliot Engrada. No wonder...* he thought.
Hiro's P.O.V.
This girl is weird. I don't like her that much, I prefer Mika better. Then a familiar figure came out the classroom door. On the person's name tag labeled, "Ms. Abigail Callaghan" I smiled politely at the new teacher but inside, I was exploding with excitement, with a slight feeling of security. I always feel safe around her because she is not strict, and very bright. I turned to look at Mika, and she mouthed the words, "She's actually my Godmother!" I mouthed back, "Really?" with wide surprised eyes. I walked to Abigail, and was about to give her a hug, but she just shot me a strict and angry look. I stopped and went back a few steps to my seat. She never acted like this before, especially in front of me. She even gave the same look to Elliot. She then handed me a neatly folded paper and looked at her watch as she walked out the door.
"NAPOVP"
Hiro opened the paper and it wrote, "Sorry for my behavior, Hiro. I've been working here for quite a while and the principal had to cut my salary due to the uncleanliness of the school toilets here. (P.s, after you read this exact text, there will be an angry me taking over.) IT'S ALL ELLIOT ENGRADA'S FAULT! I NEEDED THAT MONEY SO THAT I CAN SAVE MY DAD FROM HIS HEART DISEASE! BUT SHE COMPLAINED! SHE CAN'T COPE WITH ALL THIS! CAN'T EVERYONE IN THIS WORLD HAVE A LITTLE MORE CONSIDERATION? (okay, after you read this text, I'll be calming down.) Anyway, tomorrow there's no school, and today you will be dismissed very early due to the bathrooms being double checked and cleaned spotless. But for two days?! Good grief!" The school bell rang all of a sudden and a voice noisily broke out of a speaker outside saying, "Good morning students of San Fransokyo Institute. There has been a certain change of the schedule and all of you will be dismissed early, as in right now. Thank you for listening." "Oh..." Mika said. "I never knew that...Oh well!" she said. As for Elliot, she was applying her lipgloss (again) but dropped it when she heard the message from the speaker. She cursed under her breath, picked up her fallen lipgloss, grabbed her handbag and hastily left the room without a word. *No wonder why it's only us in the room...* Hiro said in his mind. Mika wore her purple back pack, gesturing Hiro to follow her, and went out the door. Hiro quickly re-packed his school items and ran out the door, hoping to catch up to Mika. He caught a glimpse of her braid going to the locker rows and chased it. He noticed her attempting to open her locker with a key but gave up and sat down in front of her locker. Hiro felt a speck of consideration creep through his bones up to his mind and walked to sit beside her. "...This day didn't turn out as well as I expected. Hey, what's that in your hand? May I see it?" She said, looking at the paper Hiro was holding. He gave Mika the paper and she read it. "...Oh, so it's that fancy girl's (Elliot Engrada) fault this mess spilled all over our faces...Sooo, feel like getting some fresh air, Hiro?" Mika asked him. Hiro nodded thoughtfully and they both stood up, walking to the Institute's garden.
