Never let a pirate pour you a drink.

You learned that lesson directly on your own skin.

After San had brought you to the table, the rest of the crew was very skeptical, to say the least. They stayed silent for the most part and almost all eight of them looked at you like they were just served an empty mug of rum, which wasn't a very pleasant thing for a pirate, and scoffed loudly grumbling something under the breath.

San had insisted that you should take a spot between him and Wooyoung, in front of Yeosang, that somehow showed you a faint smile on his lips.

The Captain eyed you from the head of the table as he sliced his fish, like he didn't want to loose any of you actions. It was unsettling, the way his blue eyes pierced through your own as if they wanted to drink every lie you had to offer.

For the rest dinner was fine, but it was when Mingi returned with a couple of bottles that everything took a bad turn; he placed them at the center of the table and after a couple of seconds they were replaced with more, ready to be emptied again.

Once again, San insisted and made his way to your mug beginning to pour into it a disproportionate amount of that amber liquid stored in the almost empty bottle he hugged to his chest, the same one Yeosang tricked into you that same morning. You wouldn't fall for it again, you swore it on your life.

The spot in between San and Wooyoung was one of the most chaotic places you could've ever imagined yourself into. One laughed like he suffered from some kind of wild hysteria, while the other used to hug things.

Those two were the head and the tail of the same devil, of two brains neither was sane enough to construct a proper sentence without slurring, they were so drunk that their sheer madness managed to break your shield and ambush you into drinking what the hell was in your mug.

And God may help you, because it tasted even worse than the one you drank from the glass Yeosang had offered you in the kitchen. One simple sip and your organs twisted in the most unpleasant way.

Wooyoung laughed at your reaction but continued gulping down his own liquor nonetheless.

To some it looked like you've never been there, they were gulping down alcohol like there was no tomorrow, but some others eyed you like vultures on a carcass ready to plunge and eat you out.

Mingi was the worst of them all. Not a second passed that he didn't take the occasion to glare at you through the bottom of his glass, at times diverting his gaze to the Captain to share with him a few quick words, probably about you.

At the end of the evening, when the night sky had already taken over the placid sea, some started to get up to head belowdecks. Jongho was the first, hauling up on his shoulder a sleepy Wooyoung and dragging Yunho by the collar of his vest.

You had to admit that despite the amount of alcohol that had been consumed, many seemed to have already recovered or not to be affected at all.

Contrary to you, that after only a half glass everything seemed to spin like a top. Finding comfort with your head laid on the wooden table, you closed your eyes.

"Jun... Jun c'mon we have to head down. Wake up" Yeosang said groaning as if he just woke up too.

Much to your distaste, when you opened your eyes completely, you took in the empty table. Every bottle had been discarded in a wooden box and the faint light of the oil lamp flickered, daring to burn out and leave you in the dark.

He helped you getting on your feet and put your arm around his shoulder heading down to the sickbay.

Jongho was already asleep, all curled up in his bed snoring and humming in his peaceful sleep, Yeosang then left you at the edge of your bed and got on his hammock saying a quiet "Good night".
