Willow
"See isn't this fun?" Amy asks me. She looks like a goddess in her short, golden dress. Her long brown hair is all done up in a fancy bun. I nod my head and give her a sarcastic smile, "Yeah I'm having to much fun". She rolls her eyes. "Look Will, I know parties aren't your thing, but I really didn't want to come alone tonight. Just give me a few more minutes and we can go."

I smile at her "It's alright, I only did this for you cause your my best friend" she laughs giving me a look, "and you would do anything for me" I nod "yeah, yeah whatever" she beams at me "Plus, you look hot babe." I roll my eyes again. She always hypes me up. I didn't want to go all out for a party for some college boys, but I put on my cutest black silk dress I could find. It plunged down into a v and shows the top of my small breasts. I have to constantly pull it down since it only reaches mid-thigh. My long golden hair is flowing down my shoulders down to my waist, and I even did a light makeup look to pull everything together.

Amy helped me of course. I'm not the best at makeup so she had to do my eyeliner, but overall I was pretty happy with how I looked. "Have you seen yourself?" I reply and she snorts. "Ok fine! We both look hot, now grab your stuff together, I'll say goodbye and we can leave to go watch some movies." I nod and sit back down, gathering all my stuff and putting it in my small black purse. Amy walks off to go find some guys that invited us. I really wasn't interested in coming, but just like normal, Amy convinced me to come with her.

I met Amy in the third grade. I remember thinking she was this badass rebel girl who did anything she wanted, but then I realized that she just didn't like being told what to do. Me on the other hand, I follow every rule I'm given, whether I like it or not. Amy always makes fun of me for being a goody two shoes, but I just can't imagine myself breaking rules. It makes me feel sick to my stomach.

A few moments later Amy comes back to the table and grabs her small white coat. "Alright, lets go have some fun!" She yells. I stand up, grabbing my purse and we walk out of the house into the cold, dark night.

"Thanks so much for coming with me Willow, I really appreciate it" Amy says as we walk down a street of a nice neighborhood. "You know I always will."

We walk for a few more minutes until I get a really weird feeling in my gut. "Hey.. do you feel like we are being watched?" I ask in a whisper. She looks at me with a quizzical look on her face, " No... do you?" I nod. "Maybe we should take the trail in the woods to get to my house. "At night? Are you crazy!" She asks. "We know the way and there are lights everywhere, people do it all the time. Please? I just feel really weird right now." She lets out a sigh. "Alright fine.. lets go quick though, I'm freezing my ass off." I laugh at that. She always knows how to make me feel better.

We take a left turn onto a trail that leads us to a small creek, where we cross a little bridge. We used to run all around these trails when we were younger. Our parents would have to look all over to find us and then when they finally did, we would laugh and laugh about how we were the best hiders. Oh to be young again. Now, my parents are always busy at the hospital where they work and almost never have time for me. It's alright though, I've grown accustomed to it, plus, I have Amy.

We make it on to the trail safely and I start to relax a bit. "Better now?" She asks me as we walk past a bunch of tall pine trees. "Yeah, I think so."I say with little confidence.

Crunch! A twig snaps. "Don't move" a deep voice says from behind us, my whole body freezes with terror. Amy stares at me and we both stay where we are. "Turn around and walk with me, no one needs to be hurt here." He tells us. I look at Amy, speaking with my eyes,  telling her to run. She gives me a quick nod and we both take off sprinting as fast as we possibly could. Fortunately, we had decided to wear vans instead of high heels, so we had good traction with the dirt under our feet. "Damn it." I hear a whisper behind us, and a second later, footsteps running after us.

We make it a little farther and cut off into the trees before I hear him yell, "last chance little girl," We lurch forward into a sprint until, boom!  I hear a loud gunshot go off from a few yards behind us. "Willow!" Amy shouts.
"Run!" I yelled at her as I fell to the ground, my ears ringing.
There was a searing pain shooting through my leg and I notice the bullet hole in my calf. Blood begins to trickle out of my wound and I feel myself becoming dizzy.
"No I'm not leaving you Willow, what if he takes you!?" She screams
"It's alright," I say "you need to go now!"
She hesitates, then nods her head and runs. I hear heavy footsteps behind me, coming to a stop, and see a large figure bend down and softly caress my cheek. My breathing begins to shallow, and my eyes feel heavy.
"It's alright princess, your safe now, rest easy." He says calmly
And just like that, my world turns to darkness.
