Originally, the duo had hated each other. Absolutely detested one another. However, that all changed when they both became the most hated people on the server. They needed each other, the younger one needed someone who he could depend on and it turns out that the man he had always picked fights with ever since he had arrived was the one to be there for him, the one he could depend on.

"What do we do?" the blonde asked, sitting on the older man's bed as he watched him gaze out the window towards the direction of L'Manburg, the blonde's old home. "Not many people like us anymore! Majority of them hate us, Dream. Fundy, Niki, Wilbur, Quackity, Karl, T-Tubbo..."

As the tears started to trickle down the blonde's cheeks like they have been for a fair number of days now, Dream felt his heart break. He quickly moved from the window to where the boy – his little brother – sat on the bed, enveloping him in a gentle hug.

"Tommy," Dream sighed, the idea that had kept popping up in his mind reappearing. You see, Dream knew what he wanted to do, but he wasn't sure whether Tommy would want to do it or not. Though, come to think of it, is it even wise to ask a 16-year-old if they wanted to do what Dream had in mind? Probably not.

"Tommy, look," Dream spoke, pulling away and holding Tommy gently by his shoulders. "We're hated by everyone here, so what's the point of staying? What if we just... went? Ya know, disappeared? Get rid of everything that may lead them to us?"

"What are you suggesting, Dream?" Yes, Tommy was intrigued, but he didn't want to leave Tubbo. Even though it seemed like Tubbo hated him now, Tommy wouldn't – couldn't – allow himself to believe that Tubbo hated him. They were best friends, brothers! How could Tubbo hate him? "Seriously, Dream. What are you suggesting here? It's not exactly clear."

Dream heaved a chuckle, turning his attention back to the window. The aura Dream was suddenly giving off reminded the kid a little too much of Wilbur when he was proposing the idea of being the villains of their story. "Tommy, Tommy, Tommy," Dream chuckled, resting his right hand on the window frame. "No one wants us here, Tommy. So why don't we do them all a favour? Why don't we help them out?"

"What do you mean?" when he got no response, he became slightly more panicked. "Dream, what do you mean?! None of them hate us! You're... You're acting irrationally! You need to-"

"Don't you see, Tommy?!" Dream shouted, turning around. Tommy gulped, seeing how Dream's eyes glinted with the exact same look that Wilbur's had when he proposed that they...

No.

No, no, no. He couldn't go through that again. Please, not again.

"Dream- Dream, no," Tommy begged, realizing a little too late what Dream's plan was. "Dream, please! There's- There must be another way! We can run away, we can... We can do anything but blowing up the entire SMP." Dream merely chuckled.

"Too late, TommyInnit," Dream taunted, leaning against the wall with a deep chuckle that seemed to shake the frightened boy to his core. "You have a choice, Tommy. Either stay with me and we can finally give everyone what they want. Or you make them suffer more by you being there. You can choose, Tommy, but just know that there's only one right answer."

He didn't want to. God, he didn't want to be the cause of Tubbo's suffering, but could he really go along with Dream's plan? Could he really watch as his home got blown up for the third time?

"Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock." Dream's voice was barely above a whisper, eyes closed with a smirk evident in his voice. "Time's ticking, Tommy. What's your choice?" Tommy gulped. He had to; it was the best choice. At least they would be together, right? "Well?" The masked man was getting impatient.

"Dream, you're like a brother to me," Tommy started, noticing the victorious grin that made its way onto the man's face, "but I can't watch as my home gets blown up for the third time." The blonde took a deep breath. "I'm staying here, Dream."

Dream's face fell in a matter of seconds. The once excited glint in his eyes disappeared, the grin faded from his face, his fists clenched, his muscles tensed. "Tommy, you'll make them suffer. You'll make Tubbo-"

"I know!" Tommy cut him off, standing up and starting to head towards the door. "I know. I just... don't want to still be alive when they're gone. When my home is gone. I'm sorry, Dream. But I can't." With that, Tommy left. Just as he got to where the walls of L'Manburg would have been originally, he could hear explosion from afar. Shit.

"Tubbo!" Tommy yelled, rushing into the nation, and finding everyone in the middle of their nation. "Tubbo, we need to leave! Dream, he's- Tubbo, he's blowing up the whole SMP." Tubbo's face paled, as did everyone else's.

"Why?" Sapnap asked, standing protectively in front of George. Tommy shrugged, quickly looking towards the left of the where they ere only to see that there were already explosions going off and they were getting close. Too close.

"Tubbo, I'm sorry. I tried to stop him, but..." Tommy was breaking down, Tubbo immediately wrapping his best friend – his brother – in a tight hug. As the two brothers crumbled to the floor, so did their home. Everything they fought for, everything they worked so hard for, was crumbling around them. All of it.

Wilbur soon joined the hug, wrapping his arms around the duo and Fundy, who joined as well. Yes, their home was crumbling around them, but they would be together until the end.

"I never got to tell any of you this," Wilbur murmured, pulling the three kids that he watched grow up closer to him, "I'm proud of you. All of you, for everything you've done for this nation, for your friends, for your family and for yourselves. I could never be prouder of you. Until we meet again." And with that, the final bomb went off, ending their lives.

I forgive you, Dream.

That was the final thought TommyInnit had before he was consumed by the darkness of death.
