Chapter 9: Searching

        I'm laying down sweating my ass off as I bench press 600lbs almost breaking the world record, but this training isn't for the record I need to get stronger, I need to train harder, and I need to be better. The serum only does so much even if it would get me above peek human condition I still need to work my way there. I finish my tenth rep of my workout and put the bar down as I wipe off my sweat and get on the treadmill to start running. Niegel walks in and looks at me, "Wow, you really do, do everything with that suit on" he says as he sees me still wearing my suit with me carrying all my weapons, "I need to train with everything I have on the field that way it wont weigh me down" I say and continue running as the treadmill marks my speed going 40mph. "Looks like the new treadmill I made for you can keep up with your speed" he says with a smile "Speaking of which I got some new stuff that I thought could help you after your little run in with the cops" he says as I step off the treadmill, "What is it?" I ask as I take a drink of water and wipe off my sweat. Niegel leads me to the armory as he takes out two gray balls with speakers in them "These will send out high ear piercing frequency that could shatter up to glass or even metal, depending on how high you put it" he says as he hands them to me and I strap them on top my utility belt "Also made you these smoke pellets that can help you with your stealth, distract enemies, and escape from situations, the lenses in your mask will help you see through the smoke" he says as I take them and look at them closely, "These are great" I say as I also put them into my utility belt. We both walk over to the computer as Niegel begins typing, "Are you ever going to let me see who's under that hood? I've been dying to know" he says as he keeps typing, "Niegel if I showed you, you would be in danger" I say as I look away from him and stare at my necklace, "Whatever" he says as he pulls up a picture of a Taiwanese man, "This is Chang An-lo also known as "White wolf", he is the leader of the United Bamboo Gang a criminal organization from Taiwan" he says as he keeps reading through his file "Chang An-lo is extremely smart holding five bachelor degrees, he's also very skilled in hand to hand combat, don't underestimate this guy" he says as he looks at me, "I never underestimate anyone Niegel, what's this guy gonna do anyway?" I ask as I stare at his picture, "He's planning to kill the mayor, they are gearing up at a warehouse, 510 North Milwaukee Avenue" he says as he turns to look at me, but I'm already gone.

        I grapple hook my way to the top of the warehouse as I see men loading up weapons into a truck as I see others gear themselves up with vests and ammo. I see Chang An-lo speaking to someone else in mandarin. I quickly throw smoke pellets at them as I jump down and kick two men in the face as they fall to ground knocked out. The guards start shooting randomly as I use the lenses in my mask to see through the smoke I take out a knife and stab one in the leg and bring his head down as I knee him the face, I slide back and elbow another in the stomach that was standing behind me as I use the back of my head to hit him in the nose breaking it. The smoke clears as I see Chang An-lo get into a van and speed off, a guard is still standing as I quickly disarm him and pick him up by his neck, "How do they plan to kill the mayor?!" I yell at him as he looks at me in fear, "N-No good English" he struggles to say, one of the other guards groans and struggles to stand up as I quickly take out my gun and shoot him in the head still staring at the man that I'm holding, "You better learn quick!" I yell as I shoot his leg and throw him to the ground while he yells in pain, "Argh! Going to roof shoot mayor with long gun during speech" he struggles to say in his broken English, "Sniper" I say under my breath as I shoot the man in his heart. I won't get there in time I need something fast, I look over and see a couple blocks away a dealership with motorcycles. I run over there and see a man test driving a black Suzuki Hayabusa as I kick him off, "I need to borrow this" I yell out as I put on the helmet and speed off to town hall.

        I arrive near town hall where the mayor is giving his speech to a crowd of people and reporters. I quickly grapple hook on top of a nearby building as I see Chang An-lo aiming at the mayor with a sniper rifle, I grapple hook to him and kick him in the face as he quickly grabs my leg before it could hit his face and slams me to the ground, "Oh so you are the black hood I've been hearing about" he says with a thick mandarin accent as I jump back up "Well I haven't had a good fight in quite some time now" he says as he rips off his shirt revealing what was thought was a scrawny man but only to be shown a very muscular body build. I advance toward him sending a furry of kicks his way as he blocks them with his arms with ease and kicks my side as I stumble back, "Idiot boy, I've been fighting ever since you were in diapers" he says as he jumps up high and dives toward me to kick me as I roll out of the way while his foot hits the pavement cracking it as I kick the back of his legs sending him down on one knee and and elbow his jaw. Chang spits out blood and gets back up "I'm impressed black hood, but shouldn't your focus be on the mayor? It would be a shame if something happened to him" he says as he points to the building across from the one we are at revealing another sniper aiming at the mayor. I quickly jump on Chang's shoulders as I kick him in the face using that force as a boost to jump up and take out my bow to shoot an arrow at the other sniper, the arrow goes straight through his arm as he yells out in pain and knocks over the sniper rifle dropping it to the sidewalk below as the force of the impact causes it to fire. The sound of the gunshot echoes as people start screaming and running and the mayors guards lead him to safety, Chang gets up and stares at me "You stupid boy! You've ruined my plans!" he yells as he runs at me kicking me in the face as I stumble back as a fury of punches hit my chest. I block one of his punches as I grab his arm and twist back as I kick him in the ribs having him stumble back, I run up to him kick him in the chest as I punch his jaw and grab his head slamming his face down to the pavement. Chang rolls over with his bloody face and starts laughing, "I am quite impressed Mr. Hood, but don't think you have me defeated as I have information that you want" he says with a smile showing his mouth filled with blood. I go and pick him up by his neck as I slam his back into a wall, "What are you talking about?!" I yell as I punch him in the face, "I know the whereabouts of one of El Chapo's men" he says with a laugh as he spits blood at my face. I grip gets tighter onto his neck as I throw him into onto ground and kick his face while he's down, "Tell me!" I yell out as I kick his ribs again, "Not even you can make me talk" he chuckles. I stomp his face as he gets knocked out and pick him up, I call Niegel with the earpiece in my mask "Get the interrogation room ready, we have a guest" I say as I use my grappling hook to swing down to my motorcycle and tie down Chang as I speed away back to the base.
