chap 1

(Y/n's POV)

You felt your arms ache as you sat down on the wooden floor.

"Y/n I thought we agreed to be equally as good as each other?" Your friend Felix joked, sitting down beside you.

"Shut up, you're the best of the best," you replied, punching him lightly in his arm.

The pair of you were sitting in a practice room in JYP Entertainment. You'd both auditioned for the company and miraculously were both accepted. Having such a close friend with you was a great privilege, you didn't have to worry as much as everyone else about making friends.

Despite this, you were still slightly jealous of Felix. He was quite handsome and had a unique deep voice despite his young age. You found it very difficult to find a feature about yourself that would make you memorable, or at least recognisable.

"Hey, stay focused!" Felix poked your cheek.

You gave him a dirty look. "I am focused, I'm focusing on my breathing," you lied.

"Or are you daydreaming? Don't tell me you're daydreaming about Channie's friends?" He teased.

Oh lord. Bangchan. Felix is infatuated with that man. He will take any opportunity to talk about him. You can't blame him though, Chan has been extremely kind to your friend since he arrived.

"Lix...you know we get a dating ban when we debut, right?" You reminded the boy, with a smirk.

"Yes yes, I know. That's why we should use these days to our advantage. You're such a dumbass sometimes," he said sarcastically.

You hit him lightly in the stomach when he said this. He wasn't even interested in Chan, but the inside joke of him being the younger's "man" was entertaining to keep up.

"Are you trying to feel me up? What a whore," he rolled his eyes jokingly.

"What are you guys doing?"

You felt your heart speed up significantly. Both of your heads shot around to see someone's head pop from around the door.

"Chan! Ah- we're just messing around!" Felix spluttered trying to reply to the older boy.

"Huh? Oh no, I just mean why are you guys in here?" The latter questioned you both.

"Where are we meant to be?" You asked, Felix and you looking at each other and then back at Chan.

He simply rolled his eyes and closed the door without saying a word.

"What the fuck was that-" you were about to ask Felix when the door suddenly opened again.

Two boys were awkwardly pushed into the room with you and the door was closed again in two swift movements.

One of the boys you were well acquainted with, Hwang Hyunjin. He was a dancer like yourself and Felix. A lot of people spoke about his looks rather than his skills however, which you could tell annoyed him.

You mostly remembered him from the arguments he would get into with another one of your friends, Han Jisung. It was usually about trivial topics, but one of them would make it personal and set off a chain reaction.

He wasn't your priority, however. Your eyes immediately fell on the boy beside him.

He had a slim build, but his frame immediately told you he was yet another dancer. His features were sharp and defined, and he looked particularly annoyed. Despite this, he still looked handsome. He was glancing at Hyunjin quickly. His dark brown eyes darted between the tall boy and the floor.
