Insomnia Castiel x Reader Fluff

A/n - Okay real fast there's a bit of hinting at Destiel in this so... yeah. Enjoy!

Y/n POV

I can hear the rain even through the bunkers walls. Wait, no that's my laptop. I sigh getting up from the warm covers on my bed.

"Time for another day..." I say to myself and walk out to the kitchen. I see the microwave says 3:46. Sleeping doesn't come easily to me anymore so why worry about the time.

From behind me I hear what sounds like wings flapping and turn around enough to see who it was. The lights were off and I could barely make out a figure in what seems to be a trench coat.

"Hello, Y/n," Castiel says, "What are you doing up? I thought humans needed sleep?"

I turn to him fully and give a weak smile. "We do Cas, but some of us have trouble with it." He nods as a reply, seemingly lost in thought.

"You know I can help you with that. I can make you sleep," I give a light laugh when he says that. "What's funny? Did I say something wrong?"

"No. Not at all," I say and take a step closer to him. "I just find it flattering that you'd be willing to help me, that's all."

He steps closer to me also leaving little room between us. Cas takes my face into his hands gently. I look into his eyes to see a mix of concern and confusion.

"Of course I'd want to help you, Y/n. I care about you. Your safety is one of my main priorities," Cas says and leans closer. "I think this is the part where I kiss you. That's what the pizza man would do now."

I smile and say, "Cas, I'd love that and I think you'd better learn more from the pizza man sometime. He seems like a good influence on you." Cas tilts in head in confusion and I smile and laugh at his expression. A small smile forms on Cas' lips and he leans in more.

In a second I feel his lips on mine. They taste sweet and feel tender and loving. The angel brings one of his hands down to my waist and moves the other to the back of my head. He pulls me closer to deepen the kiss and my arms wrap around his neck to help him.

The hand on my face drops to my waist and joins his other one on my back. I pull away for some air and look into his eyes. He looks back into mine breathing heavily. I smile and pull back from him.

"Gee, you're a good kisser." I laugh out.

"Dean's taught me a few things about kissing. He says he's one of the best."

"Huh... well I wouldn't know, but if he taught you that I assume he is pretty good!" I say then yawn.

"Do you want me to stay with you until you fall alseep?" Cas suggests. "We could cuddle."

I smile at him, "Sure, Cas! That may help me actually get some rest."
