I'm waking up under Jungkook's embrace, immediately noticing the soft expression on his face. I smiled before snuggling against him, which made him tighten his grip. I kissed Jungkook's chin while looking up at him. He started to smile slightly before placing his head on mine.
-You already woke up. – Jungkook spoke sleepily.
I nodded while holding Jungkook tighter. He slightly groaned while getting comfortable against me, and briefly, he shut his eyes again. I understood that Jungkook wanted to keep sleeping, so I gave him a soft kiss on his head before getting away from him. I let him rest while in the meantime, I began to get ready for today. Yesterday, several things made me return to the old memories I had about my past with Jodie, and I also thought about my father after Jungkook mentioned him last night. So, I woke up with a lot of thoughts inside my head.
Right now, I'm at the dorms with the rest of the members. So, Jimin will probably come to visit today. After all, last night, he didn't appear because of my fight with Jodie. I get that Jimin needs to protect his girlfriend, but he knows better than anyone that what I said yesterday it's right. Yet, I'm aware that Jimin's love for Jodie makes him choose her side more than mine. It pisses me off because he's my best friend, and I want him to always stay with me.
I always overthink everything when I have problems. Ugh! Why did you have to provoke me, Jodie? Why?
I took a deep breath before stretching my arms, and then I walked towards the dresser. I took out today's outfit before I began to change; I didn't care that Jungkook was there since he's sleeping. Quickly, I put my pants on while looking at the mirror, but I couldn't continue to dress up. Some hands around my body stopped me, and a sleepy face on my shoulder took my attention away.
-Go to sleep; it's still early, Jungkook. – I softly spoke before caressing his head.
-Tae, I want you to join me on the bed. – Jungkook complained cutely. I chuckled as he began to drag me towards the mattress, and briefly, he let his body fall on it. I smiled before giving him the lion plushie that he gifted me on my birthday. Jungkook immediately started to hold it tightly, and then I kissed him on his head.
-I'll prepare the coffee for everyone. When you are ready to wake up, go to the kitchen. – I told Jungkook, which he nodded for as a reply.
I smiled before putting my shirt on; I brushed and styled my hair and then got out of the room. I walked through the hallway before reaching the living area. I was about to go towards the kitchen, but I saw someone entering the dorms. My face turned sober, and my heart broke into small pieces. Both of us are staring at one another, not knowing what to say or how to react.
-I honestly wanted to come last night, but it wasn't possible. – Jimin explained, concerned.
-Jungkook told me, and thanks for using my boyfriend as a messenger. – I spoke sternly.
-I'm sorry, but I was with Jodie, and I didn't want her to see your number. She cried all night after what happened between you two. – Jimin claimed annoyedly.
-I cried the same way or more, and I didn't have the support of anyone but Jungkook. Even Yoongi-hyung helped me out more than you did, Jimin. – I expressed, feeling upset.
-Do you want me to choose between Jodie and you, Taehyung? Or what is your plan? – Jimin questioned, becoming angrier.
-Choose? Jimin, I know that you would run to Jodie's arms no matter what. Our friendship is nothing compared to your feelings for Jodie, and you made that pretty clear the other day. – I disclosed, feeling hurt as I remember how Jimin yelled at me.
-You crossed the line, Taehyung. That's why I had to step in for Jodie. – Jimin claimed, upset. -And we wouldn't be in this situation if you stood faithful to your words, Taehyung. – He pointed out.
-I tried my best to keep my mouth shut, but after hearing what Jodie said to Jungkook, I knew I needed her to know that she shouldn't get involved with my decisions. – I spoke sternly.
-Jodie is only worried about you, and it's normal for her to feel that way. After all, you already suffered so much. – Jimin said.
-And why did I suffer? Who made that possible?! Huh? – I questioned angrily.
-Taehyung. – I heard Jungkook's voice, making me look behind my back. Immediately, Jungkook ran towards me and held my arm, pulling me away from there. -Tae, let's go to the kitchen, come on. – He spoke worriedly.
I breathed heavily before nodding at Jungkook, and then I walked away from Jimin. But instantly, I held Jungkook's arm tightly, not wanting to let him go.
-Stay steady, okay? I'm here for you, Taehyung. – Jungkook smiled at me before caressing my hand.
I nodded before entering the kitchen together. I took a deep breath before closing my eyes. And then, I lifted my head to the ceiling while containing my emotions.
-Jimin-hyung has his hands tied up; try to understand his position, Tae. – Jungkook spoke while caressing my arms.
-So, should I lose my best friend just because I need to understand his situation? Jungkook. It isn't about the past I had with Jodie; for me, the only thing that concerns me is my friendship with Jimin. He's all the time on her side, and where do I fit in there? Should I replace him with someone else? Hang out with somebody only because he chose to be with Jodie? No, I don't want to do that because that's not me. – I exploded before my tears started to fall, but I immediately whipped them off.
-Calm down, love. – Jungkook softly spoke before holding my face between his hands, and then he kissed me, leaving gentle pecks on my lips. -You won't lose anybody, and there's no need for you to replace someone. When the time feels right, you can talk with Jimin-hyung. Okay? – Jungkook said, which I nodded for as a reply.
Jungkook slightly smiled before holding me tightly, letting his head rest on my chest. I sighed and started to caress his back, trying to calm down as much as possible.
-I'm sorry for worrying you, baby. – I sincerely said before kissing Jungkook's head.
-No, don't apologize, Tae. I understand that it's hard to get through the memories you still have from the past. – Jungkook said while snuggling against me.
-I disturbed your dreams, so that's why I'm apologizing. – I pointed out, making Jungkook chuckled slightly.
-I got up when you got out of the room, so you didn't wake me up again. – Jungkook assured me before kissing my neck gently. Suddenly, we heard the rest of the members talking.
Everybody is up, so I guess they are greeting Jimin.
I got apart from Jungkook before tucking his hair behind his ear. -Go out with the rest; I'll stay here for a little bit.
-Are you sure? Don't you want me to stay with you? – Jungkook questioned worriedly.
-It's okay. I'll prepare the coffee for everybody. Now, go and greet the hyungs. - I told Jungkook. He nodded in response before pecking my lips, and then he got out of the kitchen.
There's no way to phrase how thankful I am for having you. But at the same time, I'm sorry for not giving you everything that you need right now. I should be the one protecting you and consoling you, but I guess I'm not mighty enough as I thought. But I promise something; I'll get better and take care of you as you deserve.
