"I'm Just Me": A Ginny Weasley FanFic Book 1

Chapter 6

Harry Potter couldn't stop thinking about what Ginny Weasley had said.
In all honesty, he thought she was over him. Now, it just seemed like the whole world knew. Harry had a funny feeling even Sirius and Remus did too...

Meanwhile,the girls were done getting their school things and decided to walk around before Ginny and Hermione had to meet the other Weasleys and Harry.

They were talking about who their new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher would be.

"Too bad it can't be Professor Lupin again. He was the best." Said Rose.
"Agreed. Hmm well Lockhart wasnt that bad. He was pretty awesome when his memory wore off." Cora grinned.

Ginny laughed. This was one of the first times since she got home for the summer, that she felt happy and safe. She had pushed Harry and all other boys to the back of her mind. Boys didnt make Ginny Weasley blink an eye. And she wanted to keep it that way.

When they got home that night after carefully labeling everyone's things, they ate a delicious supper of soup and crackers.

Ginny didn't want to admit it, but she for some reason didnt want to go back to Hogwarts. She felt something would be horrible there. Like a sort of bad luck.

But she didnt think much of it. As usual, she kept conversation light between her and Harry. She kept catching Sirius's eye and he kept winking, which annoyed her greatly.

When she went to bed that night, she remembered something in Diagon Alley. Ginny sat up straight quickly, almost falling out of bed.

"Ginny? Are you alright?" Asked Hermione from the bed next to her.

"I think that Harry was spying on us at the stores today." Ginny said slowly.
"I saw him and remember seeing his scar at least 6 times after that. What do you think he was up to?" Asked Ginny.

"Gosh, Ginny. Are you really sure it was him? It might have been another teenage boy. And if it was him maybe it's because V- You-Know-Who is back. He tends to get weird talking about him." Hermione said thinking hard.

Ginny chuckled.
"I dont think the resurrection of a Dark Lord is going to turn Harry Potter into a creepy stalker. That sounds like something you hear in a bad mystery book." She answered.

Hermione giggled.
"I guess you are right."
Ginny gasped.
"I am right? Hermione Jean Granger did you just say I'm right?!" She squealed.
Hermione sighed.
"Oh, brother."
"I'm not your brother." Ginny teased
For the rest of the night Ginny and Hermione talked. They both had Harry's supposed stalking on the mind but didn't mention it. By the early hours of the morning they were still up.
That was when they heard a crash so loud that Ginny fell out of bed in surprise.

CRASH!!!
