Casey's duel with Lyra continued...and while it seemed as though Casey was handling herself just fine...underneath...she was afraid...not of Lyra...but of something else

Turn 6(Casey)

Casey was stood there with her finger to the top of her deck, lightly shaking looking down at her card as she began to think to herself. "What am I afraid of!? This isnt one of those shadow duels that Yushida has fought in...so what am I afraid of??" Casey finally looked up towards Lyra as her eyes widened as she saw herself instead.

"What's wrong with you??" This other casey spoke. Her facial expression one of anger, her fist clenched. "Why are you stood there doubting yourself? Afraid to draw your next card! Is it because this opponent has you backed into a corner? Is it because you are afraid of losing?"

Casey growled angrily before she suddenly drew her card. "My turn!" Casey took one of the now 7 cards from her hand and slammed it on her duel disk. "I play the equip spell one shot wand! Now my blizzard princess will gain 800 attack points!" (Blizzard princess ATK 2800 - 3600) "and then I'll play my spell card magicians arrogance! My blizzard princess loses 800 attack until the end phase but shes unaffected by your card effects!" Casey had played the card and her blizzard princess began to glow red to signify the drop in power. (Blizzard princess ATK 3600 - 2800)

Lyra looked at Casey with a slightly confused expression. "But you'll only do 300 points of damage..."

"It will be a bit more than just 300 points of damage...I activate my next card megamorph!" Casey placed the card on her duel disk. "Now the equipped monster...my blizzard princess will have her original attack points doubled!" (Blizzard princess ATK 2800 - 5600) "now blizzard princess attack her dice fiendess!"

Lyras eyes widened as she saw the now powered up blizzard princess raise her one shot wand and unleash a powerful blast of ice at Dice fiendess which completely froze her and caused her to shatter. (Lyra LP 3500 - 400)

"Two things will happen now...I activate my one shot wands effect...destroying it so I can draw a card...and as my life points are higher than yours...megamoroh will halve my monsters original attack." Casey spoke slowly, one shot wand vanishing as she drew her card now holding 5 cards in hand. (Blizzard princess ATK 5600 - 600) "Now I'll set these 2 cards and end my turn." Casey set a pair of cards behind blizzard princess. (Blizzard princess ATK 600 - 1400)

Turn 7(Lyra)

Lyra drew her card now holding 4 cards in hand. "Miss casey...I hope you are prepared for defeat...I play the spell card monster reborn and bring back my dice fiendess!" Dice fiendess appeared once more, holding up her dice again. "And now because I've summoned her I can reroll her dice."

"What??" Casey's eyes widened as dice fiendess threw her dice again, it rolling and landing on a 6.

Lyra smirked at the result. "Now my fiendess will gain 3000 attack...while your blizzard princess loses 3000 attack." (Dice fiendess ATK 0 - 3000) (blizzard princess ATK 1400 - 0) "now dice fiendess attack her blizzard princess!"

"I activate my trap card dimension guardian!" Casets trap card flipped face up. "My monster won't be destroyed by battle or card effects while this card is on her. And then I'll activate my quick play spell emergency provisions!" Casey's other card flipped face up. "This card will destroy spell and traps I control and for each one destroyed I get 1000 life points! I destroy megamorph!" Casey's megamorph was destroyed and she was bathed in a pale green light to show her life points recovering. (Casey LP 700 - 1700)
