chapter 1 the bunker

Whosoever is reading this , the  code to the secret door is 200316 . The people who understand it must hurry cause the clock is ticking . The door to the new world is going to be closed soon , their only one way to get there and that road is filled with obstacle that you must pass to prove your worth to the great leaders . You have to be extraordinary and  shine like the brightest star . The rest of you however  can sit back and read about the events that lead upto 15 July . The awful day when everything fell apart and the Deadly fate was upon us . It all started on the day when Matthew met John .
It is all happend in the year 2055 . An all out war was  going on between the countries for obtaining the last fuel source present on earth. Riots were happening all over the world at the same time . The problem of global warming was at its peak . The glaciers had almost melt , the level of CO2 in the atmosphere had risen UpTo 2% . While All This was going on countries took extra precautions to ensure victory . All the minors were brought to an underground facility to train them and  keep them protected before they turn eighteen and are eligible to fight in the war.
Matthew or as he is like to be called , Mat(character description)  was sitting in the last row during the opening ceremony (what is ceremony about/what usually happens)of the facility. Mat was a 17 year old  shy kind of person and was minding his own business when he heard a voice behind him " Is this seat taken" A tall guy with blonde hair and broad shoulder was standing behind him , mat didn't want to get involve with him so he moved aside . The boy sat down , for a moment neither of them said anything but then the boy tried to break the ice  " hi I am John nice to meet you . Do u know how long is this going to go on, seriously this is a drag" Mat laughed at his expression and way of talking . he thought that he might have misread the person .  They began talking and it turned out that he was right . The  tall dangerous looking boy was actually a goof ball. 
John  whispered silently so that the authorities don't catch them  " Do u know anyone here" Mat replied " no, the few friend's I  had already turned 18 so they went to fight In  the war 
I  am also going to leave this place next month  . Rather the being sad for him or pity him  John exclaimed " Me too "  . mat giggled a little under his breath . John looked around and then bent down to whisper  " Listen have u seen a girl with blonde hair . She is the same age as us and looks a lot like me " said john. Before Mat could say anything  there was a huge uproar from the front rows . A girl was standing up on her seat and arguing with the spokesperson " what is the deal with this place anyway " said the girl " the atmosphere here is so gloomy and there isn't even proper procedures for thing " she complaint .  Out of nowhere John stood up and shouted" hey Maggie where were u all this time " Hey Mat look that was the girl I was telling u abt she is my sister" . Mat tried to hid behind his chair but all the eyes were fixed on them." Dude , what the hell !" Exclaimed mat . John didn't lay much attention to him and kept waving at Maggie .  Maggie kept complaining about the system. It was clear that if they didn't stop her the children would all soon start to assert their rights .  The guards grabbed her and pulled her down . They tased her which made John mad .  He  plunged out of the seat and rushed towards the guards  and tackled them. A girl who was sitting next to Maggie also jumped into the fight but she too was taken down . Mat didn't want to be noticed so soon but his body moved on his own . He got out of his seat and tried to push the gurads away from  John but the guards had experience of handling things like this . They were quick on their feet . One of the guards fot hold of mat while it took three guards to hold john down. Mat tried to free himself but only frustrated the guard even more which made him tase him . He felt his body being lighter than usual . Like a feather he fell to the ground .
Mat opened his eyes and saw himself lying on a bed . He thought he was being kept in a room isolated from the rest to serve his punishment .  On clearly looking he saw that it was a bunk bed . he turned aside and saw another buk bed.  He sat up and saw bunk beds lined up on either side . Once he was fully awake he saw that it wasn't a room it was a dormitory . He could hear some  mutterings regarding the recent events , but he was too tired to even pay attention to it . He stretched his arms and looked for his stuff . He saw the strap of his bag lying near his feet . He bent down to grab it and when he looked up john was hanging from the bed staring at him.  "Hey Mat you woke up , you sure are a sleepyhead". John started mat and he ended up falling on his butt .  He looked so fresh that it didn't seem as if he had been tased ."  John what exactly happend last night  " asked Mat . Mat figured out that by this time everyone was staring at him . Mat didnt have a plan of making friends but being the center of attention was much worse . " Dude it was so awesome we were stunned, I gotta cross that of my bucket list man  " exclaimed  John  , seeing his reaction Mat had no choice but to laugh . He got dressed and went to have breakfast in The dinning hall. The hallway was divided into two half by a blockade ,so as to make prevent any fuss. On their way they were inspected twice so as to ensure that they  weren't carrying and bag or stuff in which they could store food. On the opposite the guards were checking the pockets . Two kids had been caught and it was clear that they aren't going to be let of easily . once the reached the dining hall mat jaw was left hanging open . The hall magnificent ,the ceiling was painted blue so that it resembled the sky and the floor was a mixture of grey, green and brown so that it shows that people from city , valleys and countryside  are living together in harmony fighting together to protect their dear country. Mat got in the line took two plates for him and John . John said that he had some important work to attend too and took of  . Mat  took some fruits , toasted bread and a glass of orange juice , he  sat down in  the corner  so that people wouldn't pay him much attention . He was enjoying his breakfast when a femine voice spoke " is this seat taken " .he looked up to see that  Maggie was standing there . Mat  lost his ability to speak as soon as he saw her . He stuttered to form a complete sentence while  Maggie laughed  " I'm sorry but Are you  shy with all the people or just with girls " asked Maggie . Mat was trying not to blush but his face was already red with embarrassment he I am just not good with people that's all " he responded.  Maggie looked at him and smiled  " well you tried to help me yesterday even though you  didn't know me or John , thanks for that "  they started talking and getting to know each other better . Halfway through the conversation Mat got up to get a refill  , he was deciding on wheter to take more food for john or not when he looked back and saw a group of girls surrounding  Maggie . Mat had several encounters with bullies to know that those girls weren't there to talk  ."Hey don't u people have anything better to do " shouted Mat .
"Oh look at Mr  charming,  isn't he the same person who was stunned yesterday. Maggie is he your pet or something " said one of the girls .Mat found himself in a tight corner cause the girls were not only more in numbers they were backed by a group of boys almost the same physique as john . He knew he didn't stand a chance again' them but he wasn't going to sit their ideally , he clenched his fist and moved towards them . The boys began to rise from their seats and walk towards him . He knew he was going to get a beating if a lifetime but he didn't want to be a coward. Just then someone  shouted "Hey Julia , why don't u mess with someone who can kick ur ass " . A girl was standing behind Julia and her group , she was the same girl who had helped Maggie fend of the guards the previous day. She had a plate in one hand and was holding hands with a small girl  . " Rose we don't talk to like of you " said Julia  "why cause ur afraid I am gonna beat you to a pulp " said Rose . Few of the girls looked like they were ready to throw down arms but it looked like Julia wasn't all talk. She knew that going against Rose wouldn't be a wise choice .  Rose had those sacry eyes which could easily intimidate her opponent  .Julia turned around and walked upto the nearest bench  are you all right Maggie  " said Rose  . " Seriously what a bunch of idiots "  she continued ." Hold up , who are you excatly ?" Asked  Mat . Rose quickly  introduced them
"Mat this is Rose and that's her little sister Morgan  . Rose is my bunk partner and we have got to know a lot that know each other this past week , enough for us to trust and respect each other " said Maggie "and  rose this is mat , he is my brother's bunk partner , he seems like a kind person , so that sums it all , let's eat " . They all sat down and began enjoying their meal.  Mat and rose began  talking about  their life before the war. How the world is gonna be after this , which country will prevail . The topics kept changing sometimes it was food served , another one was . They were talking about Julia and the rest when   John stormed into the halland , behind him were guards and the warden . He approached their table . "Maggie  they want to talk to you " he said . There was pure anger and rage in his voice . He pounded his hand on the table so hard that mat flinched and threw his plate up. " I'm not talking to them " replied Maggie . Before john could complaint , the warden interviened " actually we need to talk to both of you , it will be really helpful if you could cooperate "  " I told you I won't talk to him , Maggie could u handle this one "  pleaded john . From his expression it didn't look like the conversation waa going to get any better. Maggie repititve denial made things worse .  Things were getting heated up with the guards trying to drag john with them and Maggie and warden arguing . Mat could see a fight happening anytime soon , suddenly Morgan muttered fromnghe sides "Rose can I get an ice cream " Rose was at a loss of words cause she was processing the whole John and Maggie scenario . " Hey Rose if you don't mind I can take Morgan to the Icecream counter " said John   " Sure go ahead " replied Rose . She didn't know what else to say at that moment    The warden tried to stop him but Maggie's look told him that he would be sensible not to do it . After John and Morgan left fo get ice Cream  .Maggie stood up from her seat , she stretched her arms and exclaimed"Let's go guys "  Rose and Mat began to walk when the warden said " I am sorry but we only want to talk to Maggie " . They could sense the tension in the air getting bigger. " Yeah sure we will just wait here" replied Mat . The warden began to walk out of the room but realized that Maggie was not moving " is there any problem " he asked . Maggie replied " if they  stay I stay , so if u want me to come with you they will have to come along "  , The warden had a look of annoyance but he sighed and said " Ok but hurry up we , don't have much time " Maggie looked and Mat and Rose " U read to go ?"  Rose bad a look of astonishment " Why did u argue for us " she asked  Maggie smiled and said " Neither of you know me very well but both of you came to my aid that's enough for me to trust someone "  Rose laughed and said " U seriously need to have a better judging skills " . They all laughed not worrying that all eyes were on them , they could hear people whispering about theim behind their bcaks but they kept laughing not worrying about what people have to say  and  then left the room along the warden
