"Alec? Alexander, oh my god." Magnus said. He wanted to run over to him, to hug him and kiss him and get him out of here, but it felt like his feet were glued to the ground.

Alec didn't say anything. He couldn't, there was a gag around his mouth. But something in his eyes seemed to be telling Magnus to run, to get out of here.

Magnus spun around to face Ben, who was casually leaning against the door he had at some point closed. "How dare you? You want me to perform the spell on Alec?!" Magnus yelled, he could barely breath. They expected him to take love away from Alec...so Alec could never love him again.

Ben nodded as if it was the easiest thing in the world, and for him it probably was. He had never loved anybody. "I'm going to leave you two in here. You can do whatever you want, and I'll be back in two hours. You better have done the spell correctly on Alec. Don't think about trying anything, there will be two demon guards in here, and quite a few outside."

Magnus watched open mouthed as Ben walked to the door. He stepped outside, and just as the door was almost closed he peeked his head back in. "And, warlock, you better do it. Because if you don't, I'll kill Alec. Not you, him. And you'll have to live with the guilt of that for the rest of your immortal life."

And with that the door clicked close. Magnus was alone with Alec - well, mostly, there were two demons chatting in the corner. One said something that sounded suspiciously like "I bet you five dollar they'll spend half their time kissing".

"Alec, Alec." Magnus breathed, ignoring the demons and running over to help him. "As soon as I got the letter I came here...I couldn't leave you." He said as he untied Alec's hands and feet from the chair.

As soon as Alec was untied, he stood up and ripped the bondage off his mouth. "You shouldn't have come." He said harshly, stepping back from Magnus. "You're going to get us all killed."

"But..." I can call for backup, Magnus wanted to say, but he couldn't. Not with those demons watching them. Instead, he clicked his boots subtly together, calling for Izzy and Jace and whoever else they had for help.

"Is this about the bar?" Magnus asked, wondering if this was still about how Magnus cheated on him.

"By the Angel, no, god, no." Alec shook his head, his black hair falling in his face. Magnus thought he looked beautiful, even with the whip mark running down his cheek.

Magnus reached up and touched the mark. Alec's skin was warm beneath his touch. "Are you okay?" He asked.

Alec moved his head over, and Magnus' hand fell to his side. "I'm fine," Alec said. "But you know you're going to have to do it. You have to perform the spell on me."

Magnus couldn't. He could never take love away from Alec. "I won't." He said. Backup was coming, he told himself. They would he here soon. He wished he could tell Alec that.

"You have to Magnus. It's either that or they kill me, and you have to live with the guilt." Alec pleaded. "Please, Magnus."

"No," Magnus said, gripping Alec's hands. They felt warm, and...and bruised. "Oh my god, Alexander...your hands."

"Oh...that," he blushed. Which only made Magnus want to kiss him. "Kara knocked me unconscious, she must have beat me."

"Alexander..." Magnus said softly, dropping his hands. "I'm so sorry."

"What?" Alec asked. "You didn't do anything."

"I did everything." Magnus said, looking down at his shoes. He couldn't bare to look Alec in the eyes. "It was my fault, I cheated on you."
