The plane ride back was very......quiet. Everyone was staring at one another feeling each other out. I mean sure everyone introduced themselves and talked about what Loki's gang stole but otherwise.....quiet. I looked at Loki and he was staring at me. That weird stare again. I really didn't enjoy it. When we finally got to the ground me and Dad split off from the rest of the group.
"Dad something is odd about Loki."
"Obviously." My Dad says sarcastically.
"No I mean the way he looks at me. You didn't see?"
"You think reindeer games got a crush on you?"
"What? No. Can't you be serious for one second?"
"Nope. Actually impossible." Just when I was about to say something back Coulson comes and joins us.
"Am I interrupting?" He asks.
"Actually ye—" I start but then Dad cuts in.
"Nope not at all." He and Coulson start chit chatting about Portland but I don't listen. I'm too busy thinking about why my Dad won't answer my questions and why Loki was acting so strange and before I knew it I was on the bridge.
"What do we need the iridium for?" I believe Dr.Banner asks. Dad is a fan.
"It's a stabilizing agent. So the portal won't collapse on its self." Dad walks over to Thor (I learned his name on the plane ride) and apologizes for before. I walk over to him to and hold out my hand.
"Sorry about before."
"It's no problem,witch." He says and shakes my hand.
"Thanks Pointbreak." I smile and walk off to the center of the room where my Dad is pointing at someone and saying "That man is playing Galaga. Thought we wouldn't notice but we did."
"Oh Dad don't forget her. She's playing Tetris." My Dad high fives me but while he does that he gives me something. A bug. While everyone's eyes are on Dad, I put the bug under the computer and make sure it's connected. I walk over to Dr.Banner and shake his hand.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Y/N Stark. I love your research on GAMMA radiation."
"Thanks." Banner replies awkwardly. Dad introduces himself to Dr.Banner as well. I take this as my chance to look towards Steve and ask him:
"Do you think Loki was looking at me weird? You said you have experience with this kind of stuff so I thought you might know." Steve looks towards my Dad then whispers to me.
"Something is definitely going on but I don't think your Dad wants you to know."
"That's never stopped me before." Me and Steve share a smile.
"I'll help you find out what it is." Then Dad calls me to follow him to the lab with Dr.Banner.
"Thank you." I tell Steve and he nods.
Then we all head to the lab where the real work begins.
