Seokjin, being the closest to Jungkook, clearly heard what the man had just whispered. He wasn't the least bit surprised at the fact that he had just said that to his sister. In a way, only he noticed the change in Jungkook's aura in her presence.

His usual cold attitude, intimidating gaze, and deep alpha voice that would send chills down any rogue or omega's spine turns into a façade that she could so easily takes down. All the sweetness and warmth comes out and welcomes everyone into their embrace.

Jin was aware of how he and Jungkook acted when Y/N was proclaimed to be dead. Jungkook seemed even more devastated than he was considering how he acted up all the time.

It was as if he built this wall that no one could ever climb nor bring down, no matter how much firepower you throw at it, and stuck himself there, hiding from the pain her death brought.

The impact it also had on the others. They were all down for quite some time. They weren't their dorky and cheerful selves.

What more if she dies for real now? In their hands, in front of their own eyes, live evidence of her death presented to them.

"Y/N," Jin calls out to her, moving to the opposite side of where Jungkook was, "Don't do this. Don't let mom and dad's death be in vain. They died protecting us so that we'd live." He pauses to catch his breath, running his hands through her hair at the same time, removing the small strands hair from her face.

"Munchkin..." he calls out one more time helplessly.

Silence...

His hand, along with his head, drops and the tears all come running down his face. His shoulders bop up and down as he silently sobs. His whole body trembles as the pain kicks in.

Jungkook looks at his hyung with his shiny, tear-drenched, doe eyes. "Hyung..."

Receiving no answer from his hyung, wails and whimpers exit Jungkook's mouth. He brings her lifeless figure closer to his, placing his face on her head.

Behind them, Nayeon's knees give up on her. Her hands cover her mouth as her body forgets how to breathe. Yoongi grabs her arms and takes her in his embrace. "Yoongi... she promised..." she cries out, her voice muffled as her face is buried in his chest.

Jimin crouches down, running his hands through his hair. His eyes are red and shiny, his lips quivering. Rosé gets down beside him, gently rubbing his back.

"OWW!! Eomma, Appa pushed me off of the couch!", I call out to my mom in the kitchen. "Kim Jiho, if our daughter hits her head on the edge of the table, I'm suing you!", mom shouts back. Hearing her response, I blow raspberries at my dad who is already sulking internally.

As payback, dad throws his pillow at face. But thanks to my reflexes, which I got from him, I quickly the pillow and threw it back at him, hitting him directly at the face. "OW! Come here, you little devil!"

We chase each other around the house until we reached the kitchen. There, the food was already prepared. "Y/N, go tell your dad to bring out the plates and set them on the table," mom says. Dad retaliates and complains, "What? Why me? She's the younger one. Why can't she do it?" "Because you keep influencing her to play rough games when she's clearly a she!", she replies back, untying the knot of her apron.

"You hear that, dad? Go fetch the plates!", I ordered him in a way a king would do to his pawns. My dad frowns and lightly growls at my mom. Mom's eyes widen. She grabs the spatula from the counter at points it at him, "Your growling at me?!"

Dad immediately stops growling and pouts as he proceeds to prepare to plates, mumbling what I think are cuss words. I smile in victory as I head to my mom to help her bring the food to the dining room. The pounding on the front door starts again and I hear my oppa calling out to me to play.

He keeps telling me to wake up and come back to him. It's confusing the hell out of me. I wanna go with him but, when I think of it, staying here with mom and dad seems more tranquil than playing outside where there are many insects and higher probabilities of getting a scratch.

I shrug it off and continue helping mom. But what he says next make me rethink my decision of staying here with our parents. "Don't leave Jungkook out here with no one!"

Jungkook? Who's Jungkook...

"Oppa, what're you babbling on about?", I whisper to myself.

"He said you agreed on being his luna for the meantime since he hasn't found his mate yet!", he added.

Luna? But I'm merely six years old. How can I be second-in-command at this age?

"Get your a*s out here and fulfill your promise to Nayeon, goddammit!"

Huh? What's happening to her hair? Why is it turning golden brown?

I move away from her head to get a better visual of the change in her hair color. Not only did it change color, it started growing rapidly, passing her shoulders and stopping above her waist. The roots of her hair remain black, as if it was dyed golden brown and it just grew.

"H-hyung," I call out to Jin hyung. Even if I don't see it, all of my hyungs turn to me since I'm the only one who calls all of them 'hyung'.

Now it's her hands... Her veins glow yellow. Even the outline of her face, as well as her neck, like the roots of a tree. Her body temperature starts to rise, like one who has fever.

A tear falls onto her lips and they slightly purse. "Did you see that? S-she moved her lips..."

Nayeon runs over to us and tries to wake her up. She brushes the back of her hand on Y/N's cheeks, light as a feather. "Hey, wake up," she says, her voice quavering.

Her eyes start to move shortly after noona told her to wake up. The glowing on her body begin to disappear as she slowly gains consciousness. When they disappeared completely, that's when we noticed that all her wounds and bruises were gone. Not a single scar left behind, as if she never got hurt.

"Y/N!", Jin hyung yells. Her eyelids gradually opens up, revealing her... bright yellow orbs. Her eyes... they glowed a menacing yellow. It was somehow different from when she first flashed me her eyes.

Even if it was just for a split second, I caught a good glimpse of it. The color now... resembled that of... fire....

As her eyes fully opened, I was the first one to make eye contact with the glowing pair. She stared at me emotionlessly, but her eyes said otherwise. It's like they were searching for something in mine that would somehow make her feel something.

The others were calling out her name but she ignored them and maintained the eye contact. She was trying to communicate. I could tell. I don't know how but I could. Her gaze put me in some kind of trance.

I could hear my name but I still keep staring at her like she is. That's when I felt it: the tingling sensation coursing through my insides, relief, delight, and exhaustion.

It's all what she felt at the moment...
