“Shhhhh your okay Julie, your okay.” Luke said, picking me up from the ground, and taking me outside of the cage, and sitting me down on one of the benches.

I was never the kind of person to cry, but at this moment i just couldn't hold it in. It wasn't just the pain in my hands that hurt, it was my entire body. Id just held up all the problems I had in my head and not let them spill out. But now, they had broke loose.

Luke, knowing that i was not one to like to draw attention to myself, took me out to the car where his mom was waiting, placing me in the back seat, and buckling me in.

He shut the door and got into the other side himself. His mom though, said not one word to me, like she usually would say one thin got me. Its almost like she knew what had happened. Maybe she did though, he is really a Mommas boy, so he could have texted her.

“Luke, I'm sorry you didn't get your time in the cages today. I know, I fucking suck. I'm not even sure what happened.” I said.

“Julie, its fine! You’ve had such a hard week, you needed this. How are your hands?”

“They really hurt, like really bad. Like god, I'm crying. I don't do that, ever.” I said, wincing in pain as he grabbed my hand, examining it closely.

“I think you just put to much pressure on your hands. You may have strained the muscles in your hand, but I don't think you broke any fingers, thank God. Your going to have a hell of a bruise on your palm. But you should be fine by Sunday, and no I'm not letting you  play tomorrow. ”

By this time we had reached our street, and were parked outside of Luke's house. I went to get out of the car, but he gently pushed me down onto the seat, getting out of the car and coming around to my side, opening the door, and throwing me over his shoulder.

“Oh my god Luke! I can walk!” I screamed over his shoulder.

“Well I want to carry my princess. Is anyone home at your house?” He asked while bringing me into his house.

“No, my Moms working the night shift, and so is my Dad.” They were never home, well my mom usually was. But recently she was put onto rotation, which meant every other week she was stuck working the night shift.

“So then your sleeping here, Ill get you an ice pack for your hands, and well go watch some TV on the couch in the basement.” He said, while putting me down in front of the stairs to the basement. So I went down, and sat on the couch, grabbing my favorite one of the blankets and laying down, leaving room for Luke.

“Luke what about school tomorrow, I need to go home.” I said while getting up. I couldn't just sleep at his house on a school night, my mom would kill me.

“Don't worry about it, my Mom talked to yours, she said it'd be fine.” He said, “Like gosh Julie, you think you'd be able to even hold a pencil with that hand?” He said with a giggle.

“Yea, I see where your coming from.” I said as he positioned the ice-pack over my hands. “I'm so tired Luke, lets go to bed.” I said as he snuggled into the other end of the couch, and putting on some TV show.

“Night Luke.”

“Goodnight Julie.”
