Script Readings and Breakups.

It was a cold January morning in Atlanta, the whole Stranger Things cast were meeting up for the season four script read. Winona had a tight feeling in her stomach at the thought of seeing David but the thing is she didn't know why. She was happy enough with Scott and David was happy with Alison or that's what she thought. She pulled up to the place everyone was meeting at the exact same time as David. She couldn't help but think was going to happen this season. Would their characters be together? Would she get to kiss him? She shook her head and cleared her mind of all of those thoughts she couldn't love him they were bestfriends.

She stepped out of her car greeted by a very happy David "morning Noni" that was his nickname for her he was the only person allowed to call her Noni. She wouldn't even let Scott use that name. "morning David" she said faking a smile. Her head was filled with confused thought as they walked inside. All of the kids and the rest of the cast were sat at the large table. The two seats with David and Winona's placks were seated next to eachother with Noah and Millie sat beside them.

They began reading the script, it was really good the best one yet. Not only the gore, emotion and trauma there was going to be in the season but the romance between the two adults Joyce and Hopper. While Noni was reading David nudged her "hey look at this" he said pointing to a scene where the two characters Joyce and Hopper had to kiss. Her cheeks began glowing pink but she covered it up by saying "oh i was hoping Joyce would get to kiss Scott Clarke" she laughed and nudged a upset looking David "oh relax i was just joking Joyce and Hopper are endgame" Her and David always had banter about their parts in shows or just in general. He laughed and they continued reading the scripts. 

The duffers had just walked in the room and sat in the middle of the round table everyone went quiet as they began to speak "filming starts monday morning your trailers will be ready by tomorrow" the first brother said. The second than began speaking "enjoy the weekend in Atlanta and have fun" they left the room. "so any plans for the weekend?" Noni asked David. "reading my lines, rehearsing, sleeping and eating, are you doing anything exciting?" he asked her "nope same thing, mabye we should rehearse together sometime what do you say?" she was hoping he would say yes so they could hang out alone away from everyone else they are usually with. "sure my place or yours?" he asked. She began to get butterflies he had said yes! "wherever you want." she replied unsure what to say. "my place after the reading i'll send you the address" he was very happy they were going to be working together away from everyone else but he too was unsure why. 

Everyone finished the readings and it was around 1pm. David and Winona walked out to the car park. "i've sent you the address but you can follow me if you don't need to stop and get anything" David said opening his car door. "i'm just going to get a coffee do you want one?" she asked unlocking her car. "oh yes please shall i message you my order?" he asked "yeah sure i'll be at your place in 20 mins tops" she said about to drive away. She went to the closest starbucks and grabbed their coffees. She was on her way to David's when she got a phone call from a drunk Scott. 

"hello?" she said confused on why he was calling her. "hey babe i just want you to know you better not forget me and date that ass David after you kiss him in that show" he was slurring his words and he sounded angry and possesive "hey don't talk about David like that and besides were just friends" just friends is that all they were? is that all she wanted them to be? did she still want to be with Scott after yet another drunken phone call? "just friends make sure it stays that way bitch" what the hell was his problem "what is wrong with you you have never been this way before" she shouted at him "my problem is my girlfriend is kissing other guys" what its my job is he stupid! "its my job i can't just quit" she paused for a moment and thought about the way she was being treated so she said "were over Scott this is a side of you i don't want to see and i wish i never had" "you can go and kiss David now then" "bye asshole" she yelled down the phone. She hung up the call crying. He had never been like this before why was he now? I don't care anymore he's lost me forever. She was crying still as any breakup is hard but she had been with Scott for years. Why did he have to call and do this now when i have to go and face David she thought. She pulled up to David's apartment trying to wipe the tears and mascara from her eyes and cheeks. 

She walked into the complex and knocked on David's door. There was an eerie atmosphere almost sad. David opened the door and let her in to his apartment. He could almost tell something was wrong. The smile he loved to see looked like it had almost been ripped from her and the mascara on her long brown eyelashes was smudged across her eyes and face. She placed the coffee on the table and placed her small body on the couch holding back tears. "hey Noni are you okay?" David asked sitting next to her. "y-yeah i'm great" she said turning to him and giving him a half-hearted fake smile. "don't lie to me Noni i can see you've been crying what happened?"

She turned to look at him and broke down crying "hey it's okay what happened?" he wrapped his arm around her small body and held her "m-me and Scott w-we broke up" she said beginning cry even more "hey its okay what happened between you?" Winona had finally calmed down and she began to explain "he called me in a drunken state as usual and he was getting jealous about me having to kiss you in the show and he was being really over possesive when there was no need to be" she paused for a moment "then i said i wasn't going to just quit my job for him and then i told him we were over" she began wiping away her tears "i'm so sorry he treated you that way Noni but i'm proud of you for standing your ground" he gave her a smile and walked towards the kitchen to grab some tissues. He handed her the box and after a while once they had drank coffee they began talking.

"so how are things with Alison?" Noni asked trying to create small talk. "i'm not sure to be honest lately i've felt distanced from her like i'm drifting away" David knew this was because he didn't like Ali anymore he liked the woman sat right beside him his best friend. "any reason you feel drifted?" she asked slightly confused by what he had said "i don't think i love her anymore Noni" he said looking down at the floor. "hey thats fine just tell her before it's too late" her apartment was a short drive from David's Atlanta home "okay i'm going to go and tell her now are you okay to stay here?" he asked her grabbing his keys. "yeah sure see you later and good luck" she said smiling. Would they finally get their chance or did David like someone else?

David drove quickly to Ali's house to tell her the bad news. He didn't want to hurt her but it was better to hurt her now than later. He walked into her house using the key she had given him and went to sit next to her. "hey what are you doing here i thought you were on set" she asked curiously. "ali i came to talk about us i just don't think i love you anymore i'm really really sorry" she turned her head around facing his "its okay David i understand if we have to go separate ways" she got up and hugged him. "i think you'll need this" he threw her the key he used to get in. "goodbye David" "Goodbye Ali" he said leaving her house and getting into the car and driving back to his apartment.

He walked in the apartment greeted by Noni who said "how did it go?" he smiled and walked into the kitchen "quite well actually she was upset but she understood where i was coming from" she smiled back at him "that's great ready to practice?" he grabbed his script off the dinner table and said "yeah lets do it" they walked over to the couch and sat down ready to begin.
