Episode 39

OSAMU

; (8:00 PM)

I fish out my phone inside my track pants' pocket, dialing her number as I stand in front of her home's gate.

"Hello? Samu?" She answers after three rings.

"Hey, babe. I'm outside," I reply, looking at her bedroom window. In a second, I see her curtain windows move, revealing her in a messy bun. I wave at her with a smirk, still with my phone on my ear and the same as her.

She signals me to wait which I intend to. She ended the call as she moves away from her window. I place my phone inside my pocket again as I wait for her.

I let out a sigh, thankful that I get to talk it out with Gin easily. I owe him one.

(flashback...)

      "Where's Kita-san? Can you clean for me today?"

"Yeah, sure. I guess so..." Gin mumbles, letting out a sigh. Once he let out does magic words I pat his shoulder as a thank you before I ran off outside with my half-opened bag as I shrug my belongings inside, almost bumping into my twin.

I run outside of the gym towards the gate, hoping to catch the train before it arrives at the station.

"Hey, I thought you're at practice?" (Y/N) asks as soon as she steps out of her home, zipping my hoodie up.

"Well, it finished earlier than expected," I lie. 

She stays silent for a while.  And surprisingly, she instantly wraps her arms around my waist, engulfing me with her hug as she nuzzles her face on my chest.

And I tell you, it took me a second to comprehend that (Y/N) hugged me. My heart almost leaped out of my chest, my tummy fluttering, the blood making my face all red.

I wrap my arms around her shoulder, as I feel her arms tighten around me, almost as if not wanting to end.

As we stayed like this for a while, there's this thing that came into my mind and I learned from our relationship. 

Isn't I'm supposed to be the affectionate one?

"Gin told me he saw you in a foul mood earlier," I start in a soft tone, "You okay?" I added, crouching a bit to give the side of her head a peck.

"I missed you," She murmurs, resting her chin on my chest as she tilts her head towards me to look me in the face. 

I look at her with my head tilted with a small smile. As much as I want to jump from happiness, I hate the thought she misses me because I, myself misses her on a daily basis and that feeling sucks.

I move my hands to her face, cupping her cheeks as I shower her with kisses on her face as she lets out a giggle. 

"You know that you can come by the gym, right?" I say, my hands still on her cheeks, rubbing my thumb against her cheeks.

"But, you're all busy and I think I'd bother all of you," You say which I thought in realization. 

"When did you even became a bother?" I reply with a scrunched face, "How about I come over here after practice?" I suggest which (Y/N) immediately furrows her eyebrows.

"You should be taking a rest after the practice," (Y/N) says gently but in a scolding manner as she flicks my forehead, resulting in scrunching my face.

"I can wait, you know. I know you love volleyball–" You start which I cut off,

"But, I love you more," I say with a smirk. 

You let out a chuckle, nodding before you continue on, "I know, and I love you too and that is why I want you to continue what you love too because I can really wait since I know you'd be back," You say, patting my cheek gently.

"How 'bout we go out after the nationals? We can go on a picnic or something," I suggest.

"Yeah, that sounds good," You reply as you nod. 

"So go home safely now and take a good rest, okay?" You say with a gentle tone, letting go of my cheek. "Don't forget to eat some nutritious foods, okay? and say hi to Atsumu and Suna, for me," You added which I roll my eyes, jokingly.

"Can you just not mention the two? This is my solo time with you, without the two dipshits" I complain in a joking manner.

She looks at me with disbelief at my choice of words. She shakes her head towards me with a smile. "Okay, I'm sorry. Take a rest now, I'll see you tomorrow, okay?" You say, gently.

I nod at her, squeezing her hands. "Love me?" I murmur as I look at her into her eyes. 

"I love you,"
