Rachel sneaked up behind Tim as he laid on the ground watching the group fight, then start talking. Rachel saw a petite woman with blond hair who seemed to be in charge. There were three me. One tall and skinny, the other, a built muscular man, and a shorter man wearing dirty clothes and holding a 9 mm in his right hand. Then she saw a petite woman with light red hair. Rachel's eye widened, "It's mommy!"

Tim looked at her confused, "What?"

Rachel pointed, "There! It's mommy!" she yelped running toward the woman.

"No! That's not..." but she was already hugging the woman who resembled their mother.

Rebecca gasped as a little girl wrapped her tiny arms around her waist crying, "Mommy!"

Everyone watched as Rebecca tried help the girl off. "I'm sorry, I'm not your mother." she said easily to the poor little girl.

Rachel looked up at the woman and realized it was not her mother. She shied away and Timothy walked out of the forest from where he was hiding.

"Oh great! How many more are there in the woods!" yelled Matt to the air.

Tom pushed Matt aside, "Where are your parents?"

Timothy looked to the ground ashamed, "Not here, okay."

Tom knelt down toward the girl. "Don't worry, it's safe here."

Rachel backed away toward Tim. "We tried to run. The whole town went crazy. We just went to the woods. There was nowhere else to go." said Tim.

"It's okay. You're safe now. But we must get going. Come on. You two can come ride in our car." said Mary to Rachel and Tim.

"What about us?" asked Luke.

"You can ride with me." said Tom, "But we must get going. Come on"

They all got in each of the cars and took an abandoned dirt road. They were heading for the south, hoping for some refuge, some place they could call home for the time being, some hope to carry. And as the days went by, it seemed they'd never find anything. "We've been traveling for days. When are we going to find something?" asked Matt.

"I'm not sure. We need to keep moving." said Mary, "Who knows if the president has some army searching for us."

Luke looking out the window toward the starry sky spoke quietly, "God does."
