This is kind of a sad one, so if you're depressed today, go read another one. Love ya <3

Words:

(Y/n) wakes up in her comfortable, warm bed. Next to her, her lovely boyfriend, Mitch Rapp. He's still asleep, so she just stares at him, not wanting to wake him up yet. She looks at his naked chest slowly rising and falling, a little smile forms on his face. He opens his eyes, finding the woman he loves staring at him with sleepy, yet wonderful eyes. His hands goes form the side of his face to her cheek, rubbing her soft skin with his thumb lightly.

"Morning my love." He whispers. She giggles, she loves when he calls her "love". She usually calls him honey, or Mitchy. But what he likes more is baby. She calls him baby in the most intimate moments, and it makes his head spin. She kisses his hand and sits up, crossing her legs.

"I want to prepare breakfast, I have an idea in mind." She says with a wide smile.

"Mm what is it?" He hums.

"It's a surprise!" She gives him a quick kiss on the lips before jumping out of bed, running in the kitchen. He lazily follows her, taking a pair of boxers out of a drawer when he realizes he isn't wearing anything. He walks in the kitchen and approaches her from behind, putting his hands on his hips.

"Baby?" He says, kissing her neck.

"Mm?" She hums in response.

"Can I take a quick shower? I'm still a little sweaty from what we did yesterday..." he whispers against her neck. She giggles.

"Of course you can, I'll make breakfast." (Y/n) answers.

"Thank you baby, I'll make it up to you, I'll prepare the most delicious lunch you've ever had!" He says before squeezing her ass lightly, action that made her gasp and moan lightly. He runs in the bathroom, leaving her alone in the kitchen. She takes two eggs from the fridge and breaks them in a pan, adding pepper and salt. Letting them cook, she also takes two slices of bacon and lets them rest next to the eggs. While they cook, she pours some coffee into two cups, setting them on the table. (Y/n) takes two plates and gently puts eggs and bacon in each of them, placing them on the table as well. Turning off the cooker, she sits on her chair, sipping on her coffee as she waits for her husband to come out of the shower.
In the meantime, Mitch is enjoying a warm, nice morning shower. The hot water rolls down his body as he cleans his toned abdomen with the pink sponge (Y/n) bought for them. His mind travels back to the night before. He and (Y/n) had big plans: they've been together for more then 5 years, and they started to think about proposing to her. They're both ready, and they wanted to have fun. He had prepared a special dinner for her and, after they had finished eating, they headed to the bed. Just by thinking about the way their bodies moved together, Mitch gets turned on again. But he can't do anything about it, not now. He starts applying shampoo to his hair, massaging his scalp as the sweet smell of the breakfast (Y/n) prepared fills his nostrils, making his heart warm up. He smiled sweetly, he can't wait to start a new day with the woman he loves most in the world.
(Y/n) rests her head against her hand, taking her phone out to play a game. All of a sudden, her attention is brought to Mitch's laptop, the happy chiming of a new message echoes in her ears. She looks around, Mitch still in the bathroom. (Y/n) knows she shouldn't read his messages, but she also knows Mitch doesn't keep secret from her. And she doesn't either. She gets up from the table and walks to the coffee table in front of their couch, the one where they put snacks and drinks when they watch tv. She tilts the screen up so she can read the message. From: Hurley. She smiles.
"Maybe Mitch is contacting someone to buy a ring..." she thinks happily "Maybe he finally wants to propose!" She giggles, tapping on the message with the mouse. She knows she shouldn't, he should let him have some privacy. But she's too curious. It's not the kind of curiosity that makes a child run after a butterfly, no. It's the dangerous kind, the one that brings the child too close to the edge of a cliff. The kind of sick curiosity that makes the cat get too close to the street.
The messages gets on full screen and (Y/n) starts reading it.
-Good morning Rapp, we have a new mission for you. We spotted a group of terrorists in France trying to blow up the Louvre. You have to get there here as soon as you can so we can send you there. Mission is to kill all of them. You're going to pair with Melissa. Be prepared, it's going to be hard.-

(Y/n) brows furrow in both shock and confusion. Her eyes fill with tears, it can be true. Has Mitch been hiding this from her for all this time?  She told him everything about her. Literally everything. (Y/n) places her hand on her mouth to cover her sobs. Her mind spins around the words "Mission is to kill al of them." He would never hurt a single soul, and now she's reading that he has to kill a group of people. She can't believe it. (Y/n) steps away from the laptop as she hears Mitch coming out of the shower. A towel hangs loosely around his hips, chest still naked. His eyes widen as he sees her eyes red and filled with tears, her whole body shaking as she looked sharply at him.

"What is this?" She asks, pointing at his laptop. He squints his eyes, confused. Mitch walks to the coffee table, taking his laptop as he reads the message. As soon as he realizes she now knows about his biggest secret, his eyes widen.

"Why did you read this? It's my stuff. Why did you go through my stuff?" He yells, making it even worse. She shakes her head.

"No, fuck you Mitch. We made a promise to each other. I told you all of my secrets, everything about me. And now..." she sobs as she feels her heart breaking "Now I find out you-you kill terrorists in France?" She shouts crying. He shushes her, taking two steps forward but she backs away.

"That is private, don't fucking yell!" He whisper yells. She throws her hands in the air.

"I don't fucking care Mitch! Keeping something like this from me? Do you know how much it hurts?" she turns around, looking away from him. She can't even look at him without feeling hurt and betrayed. "I thought I could trust you, Mitch."

"You can, I just needed time to find a way to tell you."

"How long have you been doing this behind my back?" she asks him. He sighs, he doesn't wan to answer because he knows it's gonna make it only worse. "Mitch, how long?"

"8 years." he admits. (Y/n) gasps, bringing her hand to her mouth again.

"Since we met..." she says.

"It didn't matter when we weren't together..." he tris to calm her down, but she's too angry with him to even allow him to speak.

"It did for the past 6 years!" she shouts. "I can't believe you hid this from me all this time..." she shakes her head again. He understands she's really upset.

"(Y/n) I'm so sorry, you know I love yo-..." he's cut off by her muttering something we couldn't hear. "What?"

"Get out..." she mutters again, only this time he heard her. His eyes immediately begin to burn, tears rolling down his cheeks as he realized he has fucked up. Everything is completely ruined.

"(Y/n) please don't-.." she cuts him off with a loud sob.

"I said get out!" She yells. "Get out, Mitch. And never come back... I can't believe you kept something this big from me. I can't forgive you." Mitch starts sobbing, he'd like to act like a emotionless assassin, like he does when he's at work. But he just can't hear her crying. He knows he's ruined everything, but he hopes she would change her mind.

"(Y/n), please, let's talk about this." He begs her, taking her hands in his, but she immediately pulls her hands away from him.

"Talk about what? I can't trust you! What, am I supposed to just live with you now that I know you've been keeping the fact that you're an assassin from me for 6 years?" He sighs, tears covering his cheeks and lips. "Get out, find and apartment then I'll bring you your stuff." She turns around opening the door for him.

"(Y/n)-.." he tries to stop her.

"Just go." She whispers. He looks at his feet, sadly making his way out of the apartment and out of her life. He ruined everything, all their plans, all the things he had done with her and all the things he still wanted to do...
Before she can close the door, he stop her, taking a little box from his pocket. Her eyes fill with tears as she understands what he's doing. He hands her the little box as she opens it. Her eyes close as tears run down her cheeks as the open box reveals a beautiful ring, with a huge diamond on it.

"You don't have to say or do anything," Mitch sobs "just keep it, because it's yours. Just like my heart will always be. I'll love you forever, (Y/n)." He says, before walking away from her. She wants to tell him to stay, to never leave her, but she's afraid. She's afraid he has other secrets he kept from her that could hurt her again. She's afraid that he'll die in one of his missions and they're idea of having a family would just be ruined forever. But she knows it's better to lose him while he's still alive: it would hurt (Y/n) too much to lose a husband. She knows she's being selfish, but she can't trust him anymore.
