Transfiguration was alright, better than History. Professor Binns, the only ghost teacher, is the most boring person in this school. We were learning about something related to goblins. I didn't bother paying attention, especially not, knowing I will be using the Monile Torque this weekend. During Flying class, I almost fell off my broom, so I decided to pretend I was sick and just watch Katie and Cho glide across the air.

The next day, Potions was awkward and cold like always. I had to help Finn with his potion because I knew father would pick on him. Finn was so impressed but I don't think he realizes my father is literally the Potions professor. I've been brewing potions since I was 8, that's what I did in my free time. We spent that afternoon in the library researching more about the Monile Torque. Well, Juniper did all the work. We discovered the only reason we all fainted and got headaches was because Maia and Juniper were there. Apparently, the owners of the necklace can get through it perfectly fine, but if there are others present trying to get through the necklace, it tries to hurt you. We all already decided it would be only me in the room when we use it this weekend.

Atlas Saturday came. There was no chance of getting Katie out of our dormitory this time, so instead, we used the girl's bathroom on the second floor. No one ever used it because Moaning Myrtle, a ghost-girl would always be crying and flooding the floors. Luckily, she moved to the prefect's bathroom because "there's better views." Whatever that's supposed to mean.

"Alright, it's all set. One, two, three--the quills are in."

"Okay, thanks Juniper. I think I can take it from here."

"Good luck!" Maia wished as she exited the bathroom. "We will be back in five minutes, by then you should be inside the necklace, although your body will still be here." I nodded and Juniper left too.

My necklace was already rising towards the steam which was filling up the whole area around me. It started tugging towards the cauldron, but I held onto it tight. Slowly the Monile turned from yellow to a dull-orange and finally reached a bloody-red color. It stopped tugging and I unhooked it.

"Does Lily Evans know Severus Snape? If so, were they friends?" I spoke very clearly. I knew Juniper said we can't ask more than one question at a time, but it wouldn't hurt to try.

It sprang up a couple of feet above the cauldron and slowly came back down with a bright red light shining out of it. The red stroke of light was pointing straight at the cauldron and the steam around me was so high, I wasn't able to see anything. The steam in front of me started moving, it was moving in a circle getting faster and faster. I closed my eyes and dropped to the ground.

I opened my eyes and the steam around me was very minimal. Instead of the girl's bathroom, I was in some grass field. I managed to get off my feet standing on a small hillside. The grass had hundreds of tiny flowers coming out of it. It felt like I've been here before. On the top of the hill stood a big oak tree, where a small boy stood, no younger than me. He was rather pale and had uncombed puffy black hair. I looked around and thought he was the only one there, but it wasn't possible because the necklace belonged to Lily Evans and there was no girl nearby.

I walked up the hill and the small boy was playing with the flowers. He was making them fly from one bush to the other, with nothing other than his hand.

"Freak!" A voice called from the bottom of the hill. I ran down and saw two little girls.

"Freak! Mummy said you aren't allowed to do it, Lily." The girl with brown hair yelled. Lily had picked up a fallen flower from the tree behind which the boy lurked. The girl with brown hair advanced, evidently torn between curiosity and disapproval. Lily held out her palm. The flower sat there, opening and closing its petals, like some bizarre, many-lipped oyster.
