Miranda;

It's been a couple of weeks - December now. Snow-covered grounds, flakes in the air, the smell of hot chocolate in the atmosphere. Christmas isn't the best for me, never has been.

During my time at Hogwarts, I've always had Miranda, Wren and Alex. Last year, I had Draco. This year, I have Wren and Alex. Sometimes I wonder what if...no. Nothing has happened to her.

I miss Miranda so much. It's not the same with Alex and Wren, I love them but with Miranda it's different.

I missed a few lessons, what's the point anymore. I spend most of my mornings, afternoons and evenings with Dottie. It's a miracle how I manage to get back to my common room without being caught.

Alex and Wren aren't around as much. Draco's busy going back and forth between here and his home. Theo shuts himself in his room and Blaise...well he's Blaise.

I was currently in the library, sitting down on the floor within one of the shelves with my book. I haven't had a chance to myself in ages.

"Y/n! Y/n!"

I swear I just heard...

"Y/N!"

"Over here?" I called out. Alex and Wren appeared, sighing in relief once they saw me. "There you are. Come on, we want to take you somewhere," Wren says, dragging me off the floor.

"Where exactly?" I questioned the suspicious boys. With Alex's help, they both managed to lift me off the ground. "Just shush," Wren said, placing a finger on my lips.

The two dragged me down, each holding my hand. We got to the seventh-floor, I haven't been up here since last year. "Guys, this floor isn't-"

"Shut up, will you," Alex snapped, making me shut up.

We got to a wall and I instantly knew where they were taking me. "Guys, I really don't- I can't go in there," I whimpered, trying to release myself.

"Dude, when have we ever harmed you? Just shut up," Wren groaned, gripping me tighter.

I took in shaky breaths as the door appeared before me. They opened it and we walked inside, memories began flooding my mind as we were in the storage department.

"G-Guys-" I stuttered, my breathing becoming heavier by the second.

They dragged me down all the way to a group of people, everyone mainly here. Neville, Cho, Luna, Dean, Seamus etc.

"Turn it on," Wren said, pushing me lightly towards Seamus who held a box.

"W-What is that?" I asked, eyeing the wooden box slightly. Seamus turned it on and spoke into the speaker, "Bring her."

I turned to question Wren and Alex until I heard her voice. My eyes widened.

"Hello? Y/n?"

I grabbed the box from Seamus's hand and sat down. "M-M-Miranda?" I whispered, there is no way.

"Omg! Yes, Y/n. It's me, you have no idea how long I've wanted to talk to you," she cries out, her breathing so loud that I can hear.

I smiled despite the fact that she couldn't see me. "Where are you? What's going on?" There was so much I wanted to ask her.

"I'm fine, we're safe. I can't tell you where I am and I can't speak for long but Y/n, I'm not mad at you. It's been killing me thinking that you think I'm mad at you. I promise I will-"

"Just shush! Your forgiveness is all I want," I chuckled, wishing I could smack her shoulder right now.

"What? Mum- No- Now?"

I could hear Miranda talking to someone, I assume her mum. "Y/n, I have to go. I don't know when we'll be able to speak again but Alex and Wren will let you know," she said, her voice shaky.

"No, wait I- Miranda? Miranda?!" Just like that, she was gone again.

I sighed as I handed the box back to Seamus. "Y/n?"

As tears formed in my eyes, I jumped up and wrapped my arms around Alex and Wren - practically crying into their shoulder. "Thank you! Thank you so much," I cried.

"You're welcome! Y/n, we don't know when the next time you can speak will be," Alex frowned, knowing I didn't want to hear that.

I shook it off as I placed a light kiss on his cheek. "Knowing she doesn't hate me is enough, thank you," I whispered.

"Can we go now?" Wren asked, groaning as he began itching his arm.

I nodded my head, I said goodbye to everyone who simply waved their hands - all but Luna and Neville who spoke.

"Do they hate me?" I asked as we walked towards the entrance of the RoR.

"Well...not really they simply-"

"Yes, they do," Wren interrupted. "Wren!" Alex scowled.

"What? They do hate her. They think she's one of them now that she's affiliated with Malfoy," Wren shrugged.

I brushed the boys off, they're right. I've lost everyone's trust but I don't regret my actions in who I love.

"Where to now?" Alex asked, leaning against Wren and I.

I shrugged, not exactly knowing what else there is to do. "Walk outside? I don't exactly know what else to do with death eaters swarming this shit hole," Wren commented.

"How about we head up to my dorm and do something there," I suggested, not feeling like watching my friends be slaughtered.

They both agreed and we headed down to our common room - the only safe place we could think of without getting bothered.
