*Third person* (At the tower)
"So, we found our mate," Steve said. "Yeah, I can't believe we found her after all this time," Thor said. "Jarvis, run your picture through the system," Tony said, making everyone look at him. "You took a picture of our mate," Pepper said. "Yes, but this way we can get more information about her," Tony said.
"Scan complete," Jarvis said. "What did you find?" Pepper sighed. "Her name is Skylar Carter. She's seventeen years old. She works at a cafe that is a few blocks away from the apartment she lives in and she works at a bar and grill." Jarvis said. "Yeah, we saw her there," Dean said. "She lives with her dad, her younger brother, and younger sister. Both her siblings are nine. Her dad is Henry Carter. He is a police officer in the NYPD." Jarvis said.
Clive nodded and smiled. Knowing that he might be able to meet her dad then meet her. "Her younger brother is Luke Carter, he goes to a school that is on the way to the cafe that she works at and her little sister, Grace, who goes to the same school that Luke goes to. Luke and Grace are twins." Jarvis said.
"Wait, what about their mom?" Damon asked. "She died giving birth to Grace and Luke Carter," Jarvis answered.
Damon nodded his head. "She dropped out of school when she got to eighth grade. She now spends her week working eleven hours a day. During the weekends she spends with her siblings. Her last known grades are all A's." Jarvis finished up. "What should we do? Should we go and introduce our shelves?"Pietro asked.
"Yes, but we should do it in groups. So we don't overwhelm her. We problem already did by everyone being at the bar and grill." Bruce said. "Good idea Bruce," Steve said.
*Sky's View*
I carefully open the apartment door before walking inside. I carefully and quietly closed the door so I didn't wake up my siblings. I took my backpack off and put it by the wall. I took a breath before I saw my dad sitting at the dining table. I smiled and walked over to him.
"Hey Dad," I said. "Hey, kiddo. How was work? I think your singing was amazing tonight." Dad said as he looked at me since he was looking at papers. "Good, I did most of the work at the cafe again," I answered as I hugged him from behind. My head on his shoulder. He smiled and patted my arm. "Whatcha working on?" I asked. "A case, it's for a guy that I brought in Friday," Dad answered.
I let go of dad and walked ahead of him. "Did anything else happen today?" Dad asked making me look at him. "Well, while I was performing tonight. Something did happen." I said. Dad looked over at me. "What's that?" He asked. "Well, my mates were in the audience," I said. Dad smiled at me.
"That's amazing kiddo. Were you able to talk to them once you were done performing?" Dad asked. "No, I was too chicken to talk to them. When my shift ended, I was about to walk home and they were circled up." I said. "Well, who knows....now that your marks have reacted you would be able to tell when they are close to you," Dad said.
I nodded my head. "I'm going to get ready for bed," I said. "Alright, good night." dad said before he looked back down at the files in front of him. I took a breath before I turned and walked to my room.
With there being three bedrooms and four family members, I was lucky. I was able to get a room to myself. My twin siblings ended up sharing a bedroom, and my dad got his own room. When I got to my room, I quietly closed the door and locked it.
I closed the blinds that cover the window before I started to strip out of my clothes. I put them in my hamper before I started to pull on my PJs.
Once I was done getting dressed, I looked around the room before I walked over to the door. I unlocked it and pulled it open. I walked out of my room and walked to the bathroom that wasn't too far away.
I cracked the door the second I got inside the room before turning the light on. I put my hair up into a messy bun. I grabbed my toothbrush and a bottle of toothpaste. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the door slowly open. I put the toothpaste onto the toothbrush before I looked over at the door. It closed to show Luke standing there.
"Hey, is everything okay?" I asked as I turned the water on. I put the toothbrush under it before turning the water off. "Yeah," he said as I started to brush my teeth.
I looked at him, knowing that something was wrong. "No, something happened. What is it?" I asked, trying not to spit. "The kids are starting to make fun of me. They are calling me a poor weirdo." Luke said. I looked at him, thinking about what to say to him.
"I mean, I don't do anything that will make them treat me like this," Luke said. I turned the water on and spit out everything that was in my mouth. "I mean, I know I'm different from the other kids. They know that I'm different than them. Does that make me a weirdo? I mean that's what the other kids call me." Luke said.
I looked at him. "Yes, that makes you a weirdo." I said making his face soften. "But you are my little weirdo and if the other kids are mean, you just let them be mean. Because one day, they will not matter. One day you will forget that you even knew them." I added, making him smile. "Now, get to bed. It's way past your bed time." I said.
He nodded his head and opened the door. Both of us walked out of room. I turned the light off and waited for Luke to get to his room. I made sure the door to his room was closed before I walked to my room. I closed my door and turned my bedroom light off. I walked over to my bed, I pulled the sheets back before kicking off my shoes.
I climbed into bed and pulled the sheets over my body. I laid down and closed my eyes, slowly falling asleep.
