4| The next day

Katara's POV

I woke up and heard my apartment's fire alarm, "Dang it!" I heard, I figured it was my friend. "For crying out loud, it's 9 in the morning!" I heard, with the same voice. I walk over and find Aang heating some food using fire bending, "C'mon, air bend it out!" He shouts at himself, "You need some help?" I ask, he turns around. "Oh hey, Kat. Just trying to heat some food, y'know with fire." He tells me, I nod and blush at the nickname. I water bend the fire out, he rolls his eyes.

Aang's POV

"How did you do that so easy?" I ask, "I have my ways." She tells me, shortly afterwards she goes to her room. "Where are you going?" I query, "Work." She answers, "Can't you tell your boss to let you have a day off?" I wonder, "Y'know, I could ask." She says, my eyes light up. "Hey, can I have a day off?" She asks, in a normal tone. She then says in another, "Sure, I guess." I look at her, "My boss said 'Sure, I guess.'" She smiles, "Wait, that's your business?" I ask. She nods.

Katara's POV:

"Oh right, didn't know." He answers, I laugh. "It's fine, often people think I'm not capable because I'm a young female." I say, "Hey! You are more than capable, I'm just amazed." He gushes, I hide a smile. I then sit down and put on a movie, "What's this?" He asks, joining me. I shrug, I yawn. "Tired already?" He asks me, I nod. He laughs at this, nicely as he's my friend. I then lie my head on his lap, smiling and still watching the movie on the tv.

Aang's POV

I look at my friend, she's fast asleep and on my lap. I blush at this, I mean she's so pretty how can I not? I carefully stroke her hair, she seems to be enjoying this comfort. I then get a call from my ex, I answer it. "What do you want?" I ask, she cries. "Take me back, please. My boyfriend broke up with me, I need you." I look at the young female before me, "Nope. I found someone else, better than you." I lie, then hang up. It may be a lie right now but it can be true in the future...
