Helllooo! New story! (: I did enter this into the watty awards, but there's no way I'd be able to finish it by December, so I took it out ;)
There is a few things that I need you all to understand: Though I am female, I am writing this story with a male main character - MALE MAIN CHARACTER. Just thought I would clear that part up. Also, this prolgue is written in the future. It's important that you know that!
Prologue -
I dropped the blood red lipstick I'd found in her room into the sink below and took a step back to survey my work on the once clean mirror.
'Nowhere is safe for you anymore. There is nowhere you can go, no one you can talk to that will be able to help you. Like the old saying goes: you can run... But you can't hide'
There was something missing. My message was too plain, too simple. It needed an extra something to complete it. But what? It needed something that would glue my message into the recesses of her mind for many days too come. It needed something more so that it would not only scare her, but so it would petrify her.. Something that would make her think that she needed to be watching over her back all day. Something that would make her feel like she was being watched every second of the day. Something that would make her heart rate reach its peak.
I wanted her to feel fear.
Pain.
I wanted her to suffer.
I scrunched up my face, eyes raking around the tiny bathroom, searching for what I needed.
My eyes landed on a tiny cabinet that was placed next to the toilet. I walked over to it and violently pulled open the door, almost ripping it completely off it's hinges. After a little searching, my eyes landed on a razor.
Perfect, I thought, a sadistic smile slipping onto my face.
I grabbed it out practically tore it apart, not caring that bits of plastic were slicing into my skin as I did so.
It didn't hurt. It felt good.
I let my head fall backwards limpy. A soft sigh of contenantment escaped my lips, and I chuckled as the piercing of skin sent shots of electricty through me and blasted pure, undisclosed desire into my heart. It felt like adrenaline had been injected straight into my veins, making everything around me spin dizzyingly.
When I was left wth just the small, sharp little blade, my smile widened and my head snapped forwards. The weapon was too small to be of much use in the future, but for now.. It was just what I needed.
I closed my fingers around the blades coolness and brought the sharp edge down to my skin. I almost laughed as the blade sliced cleanly through the soft flesh on my right wrist.
The feeling was wonderful.
There was never any pain, just relief and a rush of undiluted ecstasy. It sent a shiver of pleasure down my spine. A craving like no other burned inside of me. The feeling was amazing, evoking a lust that was almost suffocating.
Once the cut was deep enough, the blood flowing and dripping onto the floor, I let go of the blade and watched, awe struck, as it dropped silently to the tiled floor, landing in the small puddle of dark red that was beginning to form around my feet.
I pushed my left index finger deep into the fresh wound, swirling it around, smudging blood along my arm. I brought my blood covered finger up to the mirror and dragged it along, scrawling a new message under the previous one.
Its was risky, very risky, writing a message in blood. If she was to tell the police, it would be almost too easy for them to find me. I didn't care; she wouldn't tell.
We were childhood best friends, and after all, friends dont tell.
I shook my head to release the painful memories of my past and closed my eyes in delight as imagined the last sentence.
'This time the blood is mine. Next time it will be yours'
