His home isn't as bad as you'd think. Hm, sure it's not the prettiest but it's durable. The landlord gave it to him after a series of "unfortunate events".

He walks into the door and drops everything to the ground. A faint wind filled the silence, then he began to break anything in his path. How could he have messed up this bad? What was his next move? The clocks ticking and he's starving.
He's breaking and breaking but all of a sudden-
*knock knock knock*

"Who the-"

"Uhm hello? Anyone in there? You okay, I heard a bunch of shattering?"
No doubt about it. It was him- the man from the sidewalk not even from an hour ago, Sykkuno.
Corpse peeps through the crack in the door,
"why did you follow me."

"Oh! Well you see- I thought you were maybe going through an episode? Or maybe you were just kidding? There's no way someone this close into town hasn't been caught yet! So I decided to follow you and try to be a friend! Seems like that's what you-"

"A friend?"
Corpse was genuinely confused.

"You heard it right!" He was comfortable, awkward, but comfortable, it intrigued Corpse more than anything else.
In Sykkuno's hands were a variety of flowers... clean cut.... from the stem.
He held them out for Corpse to take, but Corpse stood there, looking interested in whatever Sykkuno "really was". He wasn't really anything, just someone who's too good for their own sake.

At this point Corpse opened the door all the way, his feelings of curiosity and confusion over Sykkuno were so strong they overpowered his hunger for a human life.
"You got me clean cut from the stem flowers..."

"Well yeah! You seemed frustrated and scared me but I thought you could-"
Corpse once again interrupted Sykkuno
"Please come in."

Sykkuno stepped in, hearing the shards of glass break beneath his feet, the smell was off putting but not unbearable.
"You can sit on the couch, want a drink, I only have whiskey and water."
Corpse was looking at Sykkuno with actual sparkle in his eyes, for he had never had a friend all his life, even when he was kind, those of his old school still despised him. Sykkuno was different. He was sincere and genuinely pushed to see him, but a small voice in the back of Corpse's mind had him thinking it was just all a big joke.

"You're probably confused but um... I don't have any friends, well actually! I have Bimbus! He's my little white dog, I think you'd like him, most people do, but even then they still don't stick around. You intrigue me, I don't know what it is but I want to get to know you! Let's be friends! Help each other maybe? Oh and water please haha."
Corpse actually listened to what this man had to say and was leaning in, hands locked together.
"How can you be certain to trust me, how can I even trust you? All my life I was bullied, trust isn't my cup of tea. Try anything n I'll actually kill you.."

"You're a really dark humored guy huh! I like it! I'm excited to start this journey with you Corpse!"
Sykkuno looked over at the old cracked tv
"Hey what do you like to watch?"

"Uhm... I watch the news— some true crime maybe... anime-"

"I love anime!"
Sykkuno was covering his smile

"I don't believe you, what do you watch?"

Sykkuno proceeded to list over 10 anime shows, each of them Corpse loved. It was his second passion apart from killing.
Corpse smiled, a genuine, kind smile to him.
"Can we please watch Black Butler, it's one of my favorites.."
"Well of course! I'll put it on for us how about that."
He used the remote and put on Netflix, they were at least a couch cushion apart.

As 3 am came around Corpse was still wide awake and Sykkuno had slumped over on the arm of the couch on his side, Corpse was genuinely enlightened but he was fighting the urge to go out at this time for a kill, he didn't want to kill him, he couldn't bring himself to as much as he wanted to see blood spatter and hear the cries of an innocent life. If he left now Sykkuno would notice he was gone if he were to wake up, and the news and articles would name the area and he wouldn't have an alibi. He was very good at being mysterious and covering his foot steps but he couldn't afford a slip up.

He tip toed into his basement and hid anything suspicious, he was enraged out of no where, punching walls and drooling, uncontrollably sobbing yet yelling, overwhelmed.

He heard a knock.
It was definitely him.
It creaked open and Sykkuno was standing, slightly shaking but concerned, he walked down but didn't even make it 5 stairs in
"STAY AWAY FROM HERE AND GO THE FUCK BACK UPSTAIRS."
Corpse was sobbing, shaking back n forth on the cold  concrete ground
"Please... I never want you to see this side of me but it's inevitable... i'm such a fuck up.... no one stays around, no one ever HAS stayed around, what the hell makes you any different?"

Sykkuno's soft voice lightened up the room
"Because I go through the same thing... i've told you Bimbus a dog is all I have. I want to be here for you, you're hurting just as I'm hurting, I actually want to be here for you, but if I'm only getting in the way—"
He wasn't even looking at Corpse, he was too busy fidgeting and looking down at his fingers so he didn't realize when Corpse embraced him with his arms, sobbing and sobbing.
"Please don't leave... I need you"
He was thinking maybe this once stranger who trusted him from day 1 could be the cure to his suffering.
Sykkuno embraced him back
"See! Now we have each other! I'm not gonna go anywhere so let's start this new journey."
He wiped tears from his face and gave Corpse another smile, not covering it this time, and wiped Corpse's tears too, but what Corpse didn't know was that he was actually suspicious of him, but he was in denial, he was too kind for his own good and too lonely to care, he thought they could share the pain and that it would bring up a solution.
