I rushed to school faster than I ever had before.
As far as I knew, Hyunjin had no idea who I was, which was probably the only lucky thing about this entire situation. He had to be just as confused as I was, but somehow I doubted he was nearly as angry.
Why is this happening to me?
And more importantly... why Hwang Hyunjin?
Couldn't fate have picked an idol or something?
By the time I arrived at school, there were barely any students around. I must have run half the way here. The problem was that I had no clue where Hyunjin's locker was, what classroom he belonged to, or even who he usually spent time with.
Minju, however, definitely knew.
So I stationed myself beside her locker and waited.
As more students began arriving, I quickly discovered just how exhausting Hyunjin's life was. Girls kept waving at me, smiling at me, fixing their hair when they walked by.
It was horrifying.
I couldn't imagine changing my entire personality just to get a boy's attention.
Eventually, I spotted Minju walking down the hallway.
Relieved, I waved her over. "Minju!"
She stopped immediately.
Then frowned.
Right.
I wasn't in my body. Carefully, she approached.
"I'm not falling for whatever game you're trying to play, Hyunjin," she said. "I don't like you."
I rolled my eyes.
"Minju, please. Just listen for ten seconds."
"You'd better have a really good reason."
I lowered my voice. "It's me."
She crossed her arms. "Who?"
"Aeri."
Silence. Then she burst out laughing. A full, tear-in-her-eyes laugh.
"Oh my God, that's the worst pickup attempt I've ever heard." She pointed at me. "What a loser."
"Minju, I'm serious."
"Sure you are."
"I woke up in this idiot's body and I have no idea how to get out of it."
"Nice try, pretty boy. Stay away from us."
She turned around.
"Kim Minju!"
My voice made her stop. I quickly stepped closer.
"You've liked Lee Felix for three years even though he's friends with Hyunjin. You fell out of bed when you were nine and got that scar on your knee. My parents practically adopted you because you're at our house every weekend."
Her jaw slowly dropped.
"...Okay, first of all, never tell anyone about Felix."
I smirked. "Second?"
"What the hell, Aeri?!"
"See? It's me!"
She grabbed my shoulders.
"What did you do?!"
"You think I did this?" I complained. "I woke up looking like him! I'm suffering here!"
