The cavern dark ere seemed to say

"Hope flees my depths, and only they

tricked by fate will ever stray

into this void that devours day"

Yet above my crumpled, broken heap

Beneath a mirror's reflected deep

I see, I see!

Ghostly fire from afar

The burning warmth of distant stars

My soul rekindles, resolve returns

Dispels the tomb where I'm interred

Lightly, as if on fragile wings,

Comes now brave hope and sweetly sings

How wondrous her tune!

How beautiful her voice is to a broken mind

Oasis she is, her source divine

Hidden in vast deserts, below the hopeless sand

Ever she waits to help withstand

Full of her sweet waters, I muster up the strength again

Aloud, I choke and beg and plead for help

And then-...

"Hello?"
