[180] BANANA MILK - JIKOOK [COMPLETED]

Jimin is working part time as a cashier at a convenience store. He was a university student. 

It was a slow uninteresting work day, that was till a cute little 4 year old pointed at him and called him mommy

"Excuse me?" Jimin was confused. Why was the boy calling him mommy? He is a man. "...did you just call me mommy?"

The cute boy nods his head happily. Jimin couldn't help but smile as well 

"And why is that?" Jimin walks around the counter to crouch down to be at eye level with the boy 

"Because you are pretty… just like my mom was .." the boy pinches Jimin's cheeks 

Jimin's heart clenches a bit hearing that "...was?"

"Mommy died while having me…" the boy says, slightly tearing up and Jimin hugs him

"I'm so sorry to hear that… she is in a better place now and watching you so always be happy…"

"I know.. daddy told me that too.." the boy pulls away from the hug 

Jimin smiles at the boy 

"You are pretty so you are my mommy now.." the boy says possessively hugging him and Jimin chuckles 

"Sure.. why not? I'm your store mommy…" Jimin says making the boy jump up in happiness and excitement 

"I have a pretty mommy like every one now…" the boy hugs Jimin one last time before paying Jimin for the banana milk he had taken and skips off to a woman who stood outside the store waiting for the boy

Ever since that day, the boy came over to visit Jimin and buy a packet of banana milk. Jimin even met the boy's caretaker, who trusted him enough after a lot of interaction to leave the boy, Jungmin with him for a couple of minutes, if she had to run an urgent errand. 

Jimin and the boy bonded and sure enough Jimin grew pretty attached to the boy. Jungmin being the main reason for him to show up to work even when Jimin was sick

"Excuse me …" a man's voice interrupts Jimin's thoughts "...the banana milk is labeled as reserved… is that the last one?" 

Jimin nods "..yea.. sorry… I'm keeping that for my regular customer…" 

The man nods his head "...I get it...but do you think they will understand? My son is very sick and the only thing he will drink is that milk and he needs to take something before I can give him his medicine…." The man looked tired "...this is the only store that is open this late… please…"

Jimin sighs as he looked at the man. It doesn't look like Jungmin would come to the store this late anyway, the boy usually came to the store after the lunch hours and Jungmin hadn't come over the whole day. Jimin had stayed back beyond his usual work hours to meet the boy 

"Of course… I'm sure they will understand…"

The man's smiles widely as he thanks Jimin, pays for the milk and leaves

Jimin did extra shifts this entire week, hoping to see Jungmin, who never came but who did come was the tall suited stranger who had asked for the last banana milk, again here to buy more milk for his son

Jimin's heart skipped a beat each time the man smiled at him, acknowledging him 

And they talked 

The man could be very charming in their short conversations. They didn't talk for more than maybe a couple of minutes seeing that Jimin was working and the man had to get back to his sick son  but somehow Jimin felt himself smiling whenever he thought back to the way the man looked at him with that cute bunny smile

Then a week later Jungmin runs into the store 

"Mommy!"

Jimin gasps as he quickly rounds the counter and goes to hug the boy. He missed Jungmin so much 

"Mommy! I missed you!" 

"So you are the mommy he is always talking about huh?" 

Jimin looks up to see the man with the bunny smile he has come to like, smiling at the both of them 

"Daddy!" Jungmin pulls away from Jimin to hold his dad's hand 

"You…" Jimin is  surprised 

"Hi... I'm Jungkook..Jeon Jungkook.... " Jungkook says, extending his hand towards Jimin "...Jungmin's dad…"

"Oh…" it finally clicks Jimin as he shakes Jungkook's hand "... so you bought the milk for him huh? How are you feeling now?" Jimin says looking at the boy

"Yea it was for me and I'm fine now.... dad told me he had to fight to get the milk for me so I have to drink it and take my medicines…"  

Jimin giggles at that "...oh you are so cute. I missed you.." Jimin says the hug again 

So cute - Jungkook smiles 

"By the way I didn't get your name…" says making Jimin stand up 

"It's Jimin... Park Jimin" 

Jimin looks at Jungkook who is grinning at him

"What?" 

"Nothing... I understand why he likes you so much.... you have a very caring nature…" Jungkook says making Jimin blush 

"I.. ... thanks?"

Jungkook chuckles as he picks up his son in his arms 

"Park Jimin... would you like to go out on a date with us?"

Jungkook's question makes Jimin gasp 

"What?"

"Mommy please…" Jungmin pouts and Jimin heart clenches - why did it hurt to see the boy pout 

"I…" Jimin doesn't know what to say 

"I'm sorry... Do you already have a boyfriend?" Jungkook asks worried, seeing Jimin frozen 

Jimin shakes his head 

"A husband?" 

"No.."

"Someone you are interested in, maybe?" Jungkook asks, hoping to hear a no

"Yes.." 

"Oh... I'm sorry then.." Jungkook says turning around to leave ".. come let's go Jungmin…" the man says tightly holding his son 

"Wait!" Jimin stops them

Jungkook turns around confused

"You didn't ask who I liked" Jimin says softly 

"It really doesn't matter.." Jungkook was not interested 

"Even if the person is you?" Jungkook's eyes widen "...I like you"

Jungkook bites his lips to control his smile as he watched his son leap into Jimin's arms. Jungmin was very happy. Jimin looked happy too. Jungkook looked at the two boys in his life. He felt complete
