Koraline v/s Klaroline - whom will she choose?

Meeting Marcel (present)

Caroline's POV

today I am going to New Orleans again. There are lots of bad memories there but I have to be there for Marcel's wedding. I hope Klaus is not here, that would be a really awkward encounter. 

I walk into the most famous bar in NOLA, Rousseau's. I instantly spot Marcel. My son, all grown up marrying Bekah. "Hello Marcel", I say

"Mom, wow, uh..  y.. you are here. I didn't think you would actually come."

"You won't get rid of me that easily, besides I can't miss my only son's wedding. Biological or not", I say and pull him into a hug.

'I love you, mom. Besides, Rebekah would kill me if you didn't come. Something about me not being convincing. '

"Where is bekah right now Marcellus ", 'I want to talk to her'

'umm, she is getting ready for the wedding party, She'll be in the Mikaelson Mansion'

"Why don't you drink till then," said marcel

"sure hun, I'll have some bourbon if you drink with me", I Said. Marcel just nodded

' Marcel, you know... I wasn't going to come because you know. Klaus and I broke up cause he wanted an army. he wanted power while I wanted a family. he wanted to make one of his minions. I didn't want that to happen.

-----FLASHBACK-----

'Nik, you know I want a family. you cannot use Marcel. He is still just a boy. he is 12 Nik, he can't fight a war. Plus, even though Mikael likes me he still hates you.'

'I am sorry love. but you know I want to defend and protect my family'

"you want to protect your family right isn't Marcel part of your family... am I not a part of your said family. I don't marcel to be in the middle of all this. you should understand, if he is not your family, then he is mine so you better not make him your little slave."

"but love, my family needs to be protected."

'oh, so it is just your family. That does not include me. I am not important obviously. You know what I should just leave'

'What love, don't leave. you can't leave. You are the love of my life.'

'I am sorry Klaus. I just cannot be with you anymore. You and I were epic but I cannot be with you, not when I am not as important as your family. '

'Love, if you leave. I will spend my whole life searching for you and trying to make you mine. I cannot live without you.'

'bye, Klaus,'

'I know mom, everything you did, you did for me, can you answer me this question honestly?'

'sure honey, what is the question'

' Was I the reason that you and Klaus broke up???'

'What, no, you were not the reason marcel. your dad whom you now call Klaus and I already were having problems. he was too busy with his little army. we had drifted apart but we were just good at hiding it.'

'AAAAAHHHHH...Care you came... EEEEEEP...I am so excited' said Rebekah(practically shouting).

' hi Beks, I can't hear the music properly now that you practically busted my eardrums.' I said laughing

' Sorry for being excited to see my best friend...god we will have so much fun. want to come to my house. It is large and all the rooms are spelled so we can talk without disturbance'

'K, I just have one question, is Klaus in NOLA?'

"Umm, he is here but he went to the washroom right now, I think"

'um, o.. ok, you know what, I will just go to freshen up

"sure, are you okay, I mean you were all energetic at first but now you are all gloomy and I think a little nervous and sad"

"I'm fine Rebekah, trust me, just if you see Klaus or Kol do not tell them that I am here. Things are awkward between Kol and me.

----------FLASHBACK------------

''Hey Kol"

"Hey, Care, is everything alright? you seem kind of dull."

"No, umm, Nik, I mean Klaus and I just broke up. He didn't care about Marcel and me more than he cares about you guys. Marcel deserves better than that."

"Trust me Care, he does care about you. But you will be fine, with or without Nik"

"Thanks, Kol. You are the best"

"You are the most incredible woman I have ever met Caroline".

Kol pulls Caroline in for a kiss. It was a sweet and comforting kiss. She kissed back but then stopped. It wasn't fair to Klaus. 

"Kol, you are one of the sweetest guys I ever met but I can't be in a relationship anymore. At least not right now."

"Of course, I mean why would you kiss me, after all, my brother is the better one, "Kol said now upset.

Caroline goes to the washroom

'well, that was weird. I thought she knew Kol is daggered. We should wake him up though. You know. He should be a part of our engagement party. Right Marcel

"Do we have to? I mean.."

"Excuse me, what do you mean. All my siblings should be here, done"

"Fine, you know all of your siblings also means Klaus right. where the hell is he. He better come here fast. I need a drinking buddy, so please tell him to come soon. "

"yeah, I just texted him. he is coming in a few. You know I really wish they would get back together... But it is their choice."

Caroline bumps into a chest while coming out of the washroom. It was him. She finally saw him again after 500 years. She wanted to look him in the eyes but she feared that she would fall in love with him all over again. But she couldn't, the last time she saw him, he tried to make her son a slave.

"Caroline, it has been such a long time since I have seen you."

"Klaus............
