Ordinary to extraordinary

Prologue

Waking up in a cold sweat, I sighed in despair, "Another nightmare". I look over to the rest of the regiment.

"Yet another day begins," I groan whilst leaving to find the commander of my regiment. Walking down the corridor, I hear footsteps. I steading my breathing, sneaking closer to the turn in the corridor. I get ready to block.

Looking down the hallway I realize it's the commander

"S-sir" I stutter, breathing out, I salute him.

"What are you doing Captain Shi?" he demands.

"Sir, I was looking for you?".

the commander snaps "Why is that?".

"I was going to go over the new training plans with you, Sir" stutter in fear, the commander starts walking down the corridor, following the commander we slowly reached his office and walked in,

"So get right to the point" the commander demands.

"Alright," I say confidently.

Walking out of the commander's office I realized it was about time for the rest of the soldiers to rise and shine. Slowly reaching my regiments building I heard muffled yelling, Feeling my anger quickly rising, I run into the building to find some of my soldiers fighting.

I slowed my speed walking in with a chilling smile with some soldiers, Noticing my chilled smile, soldiers shuddered to know that the soldiers fighting were about to get their ass handed to them,

I come to a sudden stop and shout "Oi! What are you doing?" I say in a deafening tone, instantly the soldiers quieted down slowly turn afraid knowing that they were in trouble, instantly around 30 to 40 people shouted

"Sir" they all saluted shaking in their boots

I yell again "I said what were you doing" with a scowl on my face, the soldiers stay silent

I yell again "What were you doing?"

a soldier raises his hand and says "Sir they were arguing about who is the best fighter in the regiment"

I say with another chilling smile "Meet me in ten on the training field, we will truly find who the strongest is" I swiftly left the bedding room.

Walking into my office I open the door slowly walking into the bathroom, I feel a shattering pain in my head slowly falling onto my knees with tears in my eyes and a yell stuck in my throat slowly rising to my feet the pain increasing seconds past feeling like years I hastily grab a bottle of pain medication rapidly turning the bottle's lid I grab the pill shoving into my mouth hastily swallowing the pill feeling slowly feeling soothed. Exiting the office, and slowly walking out of the building. Closing in on the field.

Looking over to see my group of soldiers standing quietly waiting for me, I walk into the field standing in front of them,

as soon as I stop they salute saying "Sir" saying in a scared tone,

I yell "Who started it" two soldiers move forward

"Okay now who joined in" four soldiers move forward

I yell" Again everyone else drops and gives me five hundred" the rest of the soldiers shudder "The rest of you come at me" I signal the six with my hand to come at me, I crouch down with both hands in front of my face they start walking to me, the tallest standing at six foot eight standing five inches taller than me, he throws a right hook I dogged

"Too slow" I whisper, mocking him he grows angrier, he throws another punch I grab his arm and tossing him over my shoulder disabling him,

"One down five to go" I run towards the next guy lift my leg pivoting on my leg I kick him in the face

"Trash" I whisper, three to go. I jump back as a punch is thrown at my jaw, backflipping further away from the three, my frown turning into a smile, crouching again I flip onto my hand and swing my leg towards the first soldiers, hitting him slightly but not enough to bruise him, I roll to the side and jump up grabbing one of the guy necks and swing my leg under his feet, putting him off balance.

I throw him into the other soldiers, knocking out the guy I threw, the other two get angry and start to rush me. I jump back and get ready to block, one guy punches I knock his punch away and return a punch to his temple, he slowly tumbles back and falls on the floor, seeing that his buddy got knockout he trembled but continued to run towards me, he tries to kick me and I grab his leg I push him back, he loses his balance and nearly falls over. He gets his balance back and throws a punch I duck under his punch, I turn around him pushing him forward, he slowly falls over and I deliver a kick to his stomach, he starts coughing up blood violently and passes out.

I turn around and start walking away but stop turning around again

I shout "The rest of you follow me" they shudder in response but I turn around and start walking, they start running after me slowly catching up to me, we walk over to the training area and they start to do the course over and over.

Looking over at my watch I see it's about time for a break.

I shouted "All of you here now"

"You all have thirty minutes for a break" I turned around and started jogging over to the commander's office to see if we have any more assignments coming up for my regiment.

I reach his office and knock on the door no one opens I look around to see if anyone's around, no one, I get a sharp pain in my head and I start heavily breathing, my eyesight blurring I stumble forward, I hear a deep sound and a shout but couldn't hear or see clearly, I try moving forward but I couldn't feel my body react, I feel a crushing force my body flings forward, slowly I feel my conscious fading into nothing, everything goes black, no colour, no feeling, nothing, I try screaming nothing, I try to move I feel adrift but once again nothing.
