...
Mmm...
Slowly, I opened my eyes from slumber as the greeting sun tickles my eyelids.
It's...morning already.
My body is too comfortably attached to my bed to stand up. Plus my eyes are still heavy after doing an all-nighter with that fantasy novel I've been reading.
*yawn*
"No trouble in getting a few more winks, I suppose..." I whispered to myself before tucking myself back to sleep.
...
Ah!
"T-Today's the day he's leaving...!" upon that realisation, my body quickly sprung up from my bed. With a few quick strokes to my hair and fast cleansing of my face, I exited my quarters and I hustled towards the garden stationed at our front gate.
~~~
"Brother!" I hollered from the fourth-floor window as I run and panic in the hallway. Seeing him with his steed and his subordinates above the snowy grounds, he's about to head out now. Knowing this, I hurried my sprinting like a little korodrys running away from its predator.
Blazing past the second and third floors through the spiralling staircase, I finally reached the ground floor as I barely ran out of breath to catch.
"Bro... Brother!" I yelled again as I sprung myself forward.
Finally noticing me, he gave me his usual bothersome grin from the distance. Unkempt black hair, sharp eyes, fair, muscular skin, half-clad in silver-blue armour, strapped with various belts, a foldable silver lance resting in his back, dark pants, and armoured boots encased in dirty leather. That's my brother, indeed...
Frustrated, I approached him with a gasping mouth, alternately and heavily inhaling and exhaling. "Didn't I tell you to wake me up before you go out there?"
He smirked, "What? You're not a baby anymore. I mean, you still act like one but..."
I shoved him with my elbow as he remains chuckling. "You're horrible. I hope you fall on a river on your way."
