Amy adjusted the ruffles of her sister's dress, before smoothing her hair down and giving her a toothy grin.

"You don't look half as bad as I thought you would when you're not in your oily overalls." She teased, her hand going to pinch her sister's bum. Amelie and her mother roared with laughter in the background as Alice batted away Amy's hand with mock irritation.

"And you look so much prettier when your hair isn't sticking up at 90 degree angles from all that sea salt." Alice retorted, sticking her tongue out at her. The laughter continued as Alice and Amy joined in, Alice shaking her head at her cheeky family.

The laughter died down and there was silence until their mother's sniffles broke through. When the three sister's turned to look at their mother, she broke out into a fresh set of tears.

"Look at you. The three A's. My A team." She broke out into even louder sobs as Amelie went over and slung an arm around her shoulders. Their mother's eyes looked at the three women, taking in each of their features, so similar to her own. "My oldest getting married, second oldest with a baby on the way." With her crying fit coming to an end, Chiara turned to her youngest daughter before moving forward and cupping her face. "And my sweet Amy, spreading love and laughter wherever she goes."

Amy rolled her eyes at her doting mother and patted the hand that still clutched her cheek.

"Your father would be so proud." Sadness filled their mother's eyes and the three girls huddled around her, their brown curls tangling with each others. After a few moments of silent rememberance, they parted and Alice moved closer to the simple mirror that lay on the wall nearby. She studied her simple white dress with a warm gaze.

Amy watched her eldest sister, Alice, and hoped that one day she would find the same love that her sister had found in Toshio. They were perfect together in everyway- they supported each other equally in pursuing their goals and were always there for each other. Alice had recently started an upholstery company in Daikanyama and her fiancé, Toshio, owned a successful jazz club nearby. They were a happy couple with seemingly no complaints.

Her second eldest sister, Amelie, sat down heavily in one of the arm chairs, cradling her green satin covered belly. At only five months, her stomach was huge and Amelie often joked that she was going to give birth to a giant. Where Alice was slim and bird-like, Amelie was curvy and sultry. They were both of average height and had wild brown curls that framed earthy brown eyes.

Their mother was similar in features but she'd passed on her small stature to Amy. At just over 5 feet, they were often teased by Amy's taller, model-like sisters.

Fiddling with the black leather watch on her left wrist, Amy had her own private moment remembering her father, the previous owner of the watch. She thought of how he would have held her mother close as she cried from joy at seeing her eldest daughter married, the pride he would have felt as he walked his eldest daughter down the aisle and the warmth of his embrace as he hugged his family close. Even though he was gone, he lived on in his children and soon to be grandchild. She hoped he was looking down at them.

As Amy watched her family get ready for the wedding ceremony, a warm smile lit up her face. In that moment, everything was perfect.
