Jaune walks into the dining room finding his team bored. Phyrra is spinning a spoon while Nora hits ren with her hammer & ren lets her.
Ruby: this is what they do when their bored?
Jing: usually ren meditates when his bored but I think his meditation has limits.
"I need to be entertain or my brain turns to oatmeal. The bland kind, not the kind with sprinkles. Now I'm bored & hungry." Nora explains. Sadly ren assures his fine before the head trauma but his not. Jaune had an idea what they can do. No Nora not everything involves hammers.
Yang: she's crazy.
Jing: tell me about it.
Jaune suggests to play a board game. Nora loves board games & crush all her opponents when she wins. Turns out the game is called compost king... yeah only jaune loves that game.
Ruby: did dad ever want to buy a game board of that?
Yang: just be glad dad had better taste.
Blake: I guess it's a popular farmer's game.
Sadly the rest of team JNPR does not share jaune's enthusiasm. Until Nora decides to play with the farmer game piece. She pretended the cows are being up ducted by aliens. Phyrra joins in & ren as well. Jaune is not liking how his team mates change the game. Until Nora mentions the alien's weakness is compost. He was like a happy puppy.
Weiss: I don't understand this.
Jing: it's called change of course. Nora didn't want to play a crappy game & made it her own.
At the airport Mr. Wong is the security checking on the d-tech scan. Cinder & emerald were ok but mercury has a problem. Metal legs. Mr. Wong use his metal scanner & the source are the legs. Mercury had to go through the baggage x-ray scanner. Looks like mercury can't go flying. & it made him sad.
Ruby: but those with metal appendages get special treatment.
Jing: ruby this is a parody. I visited worlds where metal appendages aren't allowed on a flying vehicle.
Yang: out of curiosity, what happened to mercury's legs?
Jing: I did my research & it turns out his bastard of a father is a well-known assassin. He pushed mercury's training with so much abused. When mercury turned 15 he killed his old man but got his legs damaged in the process. He had them replaced. His legs are his weapons.
Blake: wow that's really...
Jing: I know. Mercury is an assassin who didn't have a choice in his life.
As Weiss walks into her team's room she is stopped by ruby who is in the center of the room standing on a chair. Blake is reading a book on top of the bunk bed. Ruby claims the floor is lava. But Weiss uses her glyphs to glide across the room & onto the bottom bunk bed. Ruby said it's cheating.
Weiss: depending on the environment we have semblance & training.
Yang: huh this brings back memories.
Ruby: yeah, even uncle crow was having fun.
Yang comes in but ruby stops her. Blake & Weiss said "the floor is lava." yang plays along. But before ruby could finish her sentence yang uses her gauntlets to launch her at the top bunk. Ruby calls them the worst.
Yang: sorry sis.
Ruby: at least you never had ember Celica back then.
Then roman torchwick comes in. same as the last 1 but roman decides not to listen to ruby & steps inside. Surprisingly he died from lava. Only his bowler hat remains... there's a flaw in this.
The girls were speechless.
Jing: well that was dark.
